Welcome to our Victorian homestead, which all our friends affectionately call the Camy house. We've spent the past decade working hard on fixing up this old place-the oldest portion dating from 1896!-and we hope you'll find is as charming and comfy as we do. Our home is in the Westside neighborhood, about 1.5 miles to downtown (State St.). The house includes a large front yard, an outdoor shower, covered parking, an e-charger, and 4 new adjustable bikes, perfect for a ride to the beach.

The space
Escape to this peaceful, historic farmhouse on the Westside of Santa Barbara. Thoughtful decisions to create a charming retreat are evident throughout. You'll find a large, open front yard with edible landscaping (strawberries, a mulberry, fig and avocado tree, citrus trees, and garden boxes). There is plenty of parking in the driveway and room for one car in the newly constructed carriage house (garage). This is one of the rare double lots on the Westside, so you'll have plenty of indoor and outdoor space.

Upon entering the 1800 sq. foot two story house, the living room features plenty of space to enjoy gathering around for a fun filled movie night. The bright kitchen is well equipped and a delight in which to cook (pictures coming in the next 2 weeks as we are remodeling the kitchen). The kitchen is well stocked and equipped with new appliances. Seating for 6 at the dining table, along with 2 barstools ensures there is plenty of room for everyone (photos coming soon). The true treasure of the home is the large back patio. Here, guests can relax and unwind in the evenings with a glass of wine. The al fresco dining area is located off the kitchen on the back porch under a pergola and surrounded with beautiful landscaping, including palms and a banana tree. Enjoy Santa Barbara's year round perfect weather.

The guest bedroom with a king sized bed is located on the first floor, which is attached to a library (second bedroom), which also contains a pullout couch. The downstairs bedrooms are perfect for the kids or another couple, equipped with books, toys, and an en suite half bath.

There is a spacious office off the dining room, ideal for remote work (photos coming). The home is equipped with high speed internet connection. Upstairs is the private Master Bedroom, away from it all, with a comfy king-size bed and en suite bathroom with large soaking bathtub and glass shower.

With its great location - 1.5 miles to Downtown Santa Barbara and 1.9 miles to the beach, our Farmhouse is a delightfully charming escape from the ordinary. Stroll through the local neighborhood, or walk up the road 1.7 miles to the backside of Elings Park for fun and adventure.

Included amenities: Hand soap, detergent, beach towels, paper products, fresh towels and linens. You can request an early check-in / late check-out and we will arrange it whenever possible. We provide maps and directions to hiking trails within walking distance, as well as suggested local favorites for restaurants.

Our house is solar powered and the bedrooms include efficient heaters.
