So I originally chose to move in on the second floor because I wanted to make sure I would get lots of natural lighting, but then management moved me to a different apartment because apparently I had "just beat" a group of friends that wanted to rent the room I was in together so I was moved to a first floor apartment( I also had friends that I was trying to get to move in with me though, so this was kind of annoying) Little did I know until I moved in that this first floor apartment was in the back corner of the building. So the only natural light that came in was from our bedroom windows, because the kitchen and living room windows opened up into a hallway near the maintenance office. The light that came in was a hall light... not very bright. Also our shower was designed for elementary school children or something because it only sprayed water at my chest level (I am average height being 5'9") The place was a mess, I tried to clean all the time, but nobody else did. I failed a cleaning check because I wasn't able to remove stains left in the sink by the other room (it wasn't even a sink that I or anyone in my room used, but for some reason we still are held accountable for it) Also the pool is nice, but you only get to use it in the summer and for about a week or two in September, then they close it, even if the weather is still nice. Don't be fooled by the photos on their website. They take pictures of the one room that they keep painted nice, during the day so there is lots of natural light, and they make sure to clean it perfectly before hand and put all of the clean furniture in it. Our sofa was falling apart, had stains all over it, and management didn't seem to care. We had a door hanging on one hinge, that we told management about, and they never got to it. Also someone broke our window when opening a door in the hallway, and still nobody fixed it. Also the rent is the cheapest you will find in Provo, but it also is the worst place to live and attracts slobs, or the kind of people who just don't care about cleanliness. My girlfriend, now wife, decided to surprise me by coming over while I was at school and cleaned the whole kitchen because she knew that my roommates were slobs (I would tell her how tired I was of cleaning up after five other people who just didn't care), and it took here several hours to clean the grease caked on the stove, cleaning out the fridge, wiping down the counters caked in sauce which could have taken seconds to clean of people would just wipe when it drips, and sweeping, trust me its gross, and I feel bad that she decided to do it. Provo is a slum for college students though, this is just the one place where it shows the most. Provo charges high rent for low to poor living conditions, and outrageous rent for decent living conditions. Married housing prices are even worse, because the price doesn't double but more than triples. Even with todays ballooning car prices, someone could buy a car each year with the amount of rent that they have to pay in provo. Only difference is the car would be a much nicer quality than the living conditions. ...

This place is HORRIBLE!!! The units are old and gross and falling apart. I moved in about a week early and had to spend hours cleaning because of how filthy and smelly it was AFTER someone had been there "cleaning" before we got there. The management is absolute trash and obviously don't know how to manage anything, especially money. My bill and my other roommate's (who moved in with me a week early) were drastically different than the other girls' in the apartment's. We were just billed more for the same things for some reason. They will also find any flaw in your cleaning check to charge for a recheck. Literally the apartment is covered in stains and water damage and gross musty smells but God forbid theres dust on one of the swamp cooler fan blades. I'm not LDS so I can't say much about the ward, but I can say the only time to get good parking is on Sunday when everyone is at church. The parking lot and surrounding block has a lot of parking spaces...just not nearly enough for how many cars there are. I could almost never get a spot when I got home from work at around 10PM, not just because most people were home by then, but because there were at least 20 cars permanently parked in the lot because people bring their cars and then use their bikes to get everywhere. I could go on and on about how awful it is here--you'll only like it if your standard of living is lower than the ground--but the icing on the cake was when I was checking out in December. I was coming home to Minnesota, which would be a 17+ hour drive, so I made an appointment at 9AM to check out. On the day I was checking out I packed all my stuff in my car, prepped everything for my roadtrip and then waited for the manager to get there. Literally 2 hours passed before I got fed up and called the BYU housing board, who gave me her personal number. I called twice but she didn't answer, so I texted and she said she wasn't going to come in that day, and that I could just leave my key in the office mailbox. It just seemed so immature for her to do that, especially after I had worked around her schedule and chosen a day I could come in at a time that would be good for HER. Choose literally anywhere else, please. The most this place is worth per month is maybe $20, and thats including utilities. I rented from fall 2017 through winter 2018. ...

The management is outrageous. Out of my 4 years in Provo, this is the only place I have lived that I have failed cleaning checks. The place is falling apart and they want you to clean the crumbling walls and scrape out the grout from between the tiles. The management is impossible to get a hold of whether through office hours or email or telephone. There is a fun atmosphere of the complex thanks to the people, but I would not recommend this place to anyone. I rented from fall 2016 through winter 2017. ...

By far the WORST apt complex I've ever lived in. Management is constantly screwing over their tenants, charging them for everything and anything they can come up with. We were charged over $200 for a small carpet stain and for taking out and then putting back in a screen. The on-site manager is constantly away from the office, doesn't answer emails, and can be straight up rude. STAY AWAY FROM BC IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! Wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE! This complex offers a decent price. You get what you pay for. The location is good--right next to downtown provo. The ward is fun and very social. Management is willing to work through problems. I rented from fall 2015 through summer 2016.

Is there a way to make this 0 stars in some of these? I absolutely HATE this place! They have no real office hours, because they change frequently, and people are rarely in when the hours say they will be. Emails are rarely answered despite what they say. Maintenance takes weeks to fix any problems you may have, and then the fix is usually only half baked. And don't let the prices they list lure you in, they add all kinds of extra fines which makes this one of the more expensive places around. This includes being charged for cleaning rechecks (when you fail the monthly cleaning check). What's worse is they LIED saying that other places charge more, so we are getting a deal here. I have looked, and I have not seen anywhere else that charges for the recheck, only for any fines if the recheck is failed as well. Also, ignore comments about it having a good ward. It changes every year, so there is no way to predict how "good" the ward is. Plus, it's BYU, there will be "good" wards wherever you live. I rented from fall 2015 through winter 2016. ...

Don't live here. Bountiful Courts is cheap, but it isn't that great of a deal to make up for all the horrible things that come with living here. Management is the worst I have experienced in provo and I would do anything to go back and change my mind about living here. We had a leak in our roof for over 2 weeks that they had to come and fix three times. They never responded to our maintenance requests so two days after we had submitted two, we had to knock on the office door, which was closed during office hours to even get them to address the problem. We were out of our apartment for two weeks, plus some other various days, and they denied reimbursing us for those days we weren't able to live in the apartment. The construction was done so that drywall, insulation, mud, and other debris was blown all over our room and all over our clothes. During this whole ordeal management would not answer emails or questions, and even told us to not call her. We even had to start working with the BYU housing office, but management had no problem telling them blatant lies and misinforming them. If you want to have to move out of your apartment mid semester, wash all of your clothing and bedding, loose some of your belongings to damage, and stress out about being reimbursed for the two weeks you didn't live in the apartment that you were paying for, live here. It is just an experience that is greatly disappointing, frustrating, and quite frankly, rude. Don't pay people like this. I rented from fall 2015 through winter 2016. ...

-Lived here for 3 years..I really loved the floor plan. large kitchen, fair sized living room. There's 3 ppl in 2 largish bedrooms (used to be married housing), which I loved because the BC's known to attract some weirdies..so it's nice having another person in the room as a buffer haha. Also, a lot of really cool people move there on a whim and then move out cause the social life is roughh. -2 bathrooms for 6 people was never an issue. I also really liked that the ward was the single building; everyone was in close reach. Has a lot of potential to be fun, if you can get fun people to move there. Close to downtown, but like a 20 min walk from campus. -First set of management, Jess, was the BOMB. New management (Sophie, etc..) definitely rough. Pretty sure she's like 19. They switched a girl into our apartment without asking us, ripped off some of my roommates, and were pretty rude/inconsiderate in general. -Parking's great. My friend left her car parked in the garage the whole summer while she was away. lol. -Price was good. Started at $350 but I got so many discounts for living there so long and signing yearly by the end of it I was paying like $185 a month. :) I rented from fall 2011 through winter 2014. ...

Management is terrible. They 'arrive' at work around 3 in the afternoon. (They live there, yet somehow can't be at work before 3) they 'leave' at 5. (Again they live there, so no reason they should be done at 5. I wouldn't insist that they work past five except, again, they don't begin work until 3.) Half the time they aren't even there during that 3-5 window. They don't work at all some days. They charged us for removing a screen, despite the screen being its being untouched by us. If anyone touched it, it was the previous tenants and 2. The screen was unmoved and undamaged. Whatever the previous tenants did it didn't damage the screen any. I don't recommend this place under this management. I rented from spring 2015 through spring 2016. ...

Simply put, Bountiful Court is one of the absolute worst places you could ever choose to live. DO NOT live here unless you are absolutely desperate and would end up homeless instead of getting an apartment here! The apartments are crap and management makes you clean them like they are five star apartments. You never knew if the shower was going to have hot water that day. Six people to one apartment and they are tiny! The claim that it is the best singles value housing in Provo is a joke. And the ward was full of either weird people or people who already had friends and didn't want to get to know you. I consider myself a fairly social person but this ward was one of my least favorite. And the guy-girl ratio is a total farce, definitely not a 1:1 ratio. The apartments are so far away from campus which sucked too. Management tries to scam you out of your money for cleaning checks also! The expect you to move into a filthy and trashy apartment and make it look cleaner than it was when you moved in. Basically everything about this place sucks. Worst four months of my life living here, and I do not recommend it to anyone ever. I rented from winter 2014 through winter 2014. ...

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Management is awful, they never answer your phone calls or respond to your emails. Half the time the office isn't open when they say it will be. They are incredibly difficult to work with, especially Afton Taylor, the Manager. The apartments are overall outdated, dirty, and too crowded--especially for SIX people to one tiny living space. Not a lot of room to put your things. Bunk beds are annoying and squeaky, the pool is gross and the ward isn't close at all. I've had a terrible experience living here and I would not recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy. They will fine you for things that you didn't even know were possible, and make sure you READ THE CONTRACT THOROUGHLY. They will make you pay for any little thing. This apartment complex is outdated, overpriced, noisy, and overall a terrible place to live especially as a student. Take my advice, and DO NOT LIVE HERE. The bedrooms are way too small to house three people in them each and still charge as much as they do. One of the showers didn't even work for the entire time that I lived there. Management never fixed it but still expected that we clean it every month for cleaning checks. The "community" that people brag about so often is pretty awful - but not everyone thinks so. The worst part is that they constantly require cleaning checks and I ended up just being charged beyond my security deposit for it at the end because it's impossible to keep such a small place clean with 6 people living there and they be sure to catch you on it and make you pay. The appliances are extremely outdated, the furniture is outdated. the entire apartment is crammed and uncomfortable and outdated. There is absolutely no parking available after 8 pm except two blocks away on the street. There is so much noise because you are in a tiny crammed apartment complex where six people live in each small apartment. There was also construction going on for the last 4 months of my lease so forget about studying for finals at home, and forget about sleeping in past 6am. The one time I used their washer to wash my clothes their appliances were so outdated that it ruined a few of my shirts. The Internet was also supposed to be google fiber, but I could never do more than basic internet searches. Netflix rarely streamed here even though they charged you like it did and made you pay for it as though it did. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I rented from winter 11 through spring 11. ...

I lived here Spring and Summer of 2014 and I will NEVER live here again. I thought I was getting a good deal when I signed for $100 a month... TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN. Spring/Summer 14 - It says 100 a month, but with utilities its actually more like 130 (most expensive utilities payment of my life - you know why? It's socialized. They group the whole complex together and then divide by apartment) I am just so frustrated with the management here. I can't believe how much I was misled when I signed my contract. Make sure you listen to every single detail when you sign up - For example: We were told 4 payments of 100 dollars for a spring/summer contract. Sounds a lot like 100 dollars a month, right? WRONG. The last month, August, you don't get a whole month. In fact, you get half of one. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to feel misled and deceived by management. There is little to no consideration for tenants and when these concerns are voiced, they don't care. So PLEASE BE FOREWARNED. Quality was mixed/poor - Shower water heat was the most iffy thing - you would wake up in the morning not knowing if you were going to have hot water. So frustrating. The social scene is so uncomfortable. There is a poor ratio of guys to girls, and an even poorer ratio of people who actually want to get to know people. Parking was fine, never had issues, although the number of dents I saw on other peoples cars made me worried mine was going to get thrashed with door dings, but it has been fine Also, recently 5 or so bikes have been stolen and management doesn't care about any increased security for the bikes. Heaven forbid a fence should be put up. Whatever, I'm done with this place. ...

I lived at Bountiful Court the Spring and Summer of 2014. I did not have a good experience with management. They told us that we had to pay $100 a month but the last month we had to move out on the 14th. The way they structure utilites is that they pool everyones bills and then split it up even per person. It came out to be $30 a month which is way more than I have ever payed during the summer. Be careful when signing a contract. They dont explain everything to you clearly. The Quality is nothing special at all. The hot water was broken for a 2 week period. The water heater took an additional week for it to be cleaned after I reported it. If you are looking for an exciting social life in the ward then Bountiful Court is NOT the place to go. They have turned some of the apartments into married housing so there is a terrible boy:girl ratio. I do NOT recommend living here! ...

Spring 14 - Summer 14 I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. PLEASE STEER CLEAR. You're doing yourself a favor. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this living accommodation. I picked this place with a few friends for spring/summer living because it was such an affordable price: 100 a month. The internet was awful when we arrived so we quickly got Google Chrome. This bumped the quality of the apartment up but we were also paying extra for good internet so it's no thanks to BC. Sounds great so far, right? I have never felt more distanced from the social setting than I have here. I don't consider myself an awkward or quiet person, in fact, I think I'm pretty social. I have always got to know the people in my complex. But here, I felt uncomfortable from day 1. Everyone was really awkward. There was a lot of older people who have lived here for 3+ years, and so many people just don't make eye contact, much less say hello. My first night, I was yelled at by tenants to shut up while carrying suitcases up to my room. Talk about inviting. Now on to the management. One of the office workers (Sophie) is amazing. Really kind and sweet. The other one (Rachel, I think) is pretty rude. She doesn't seem to care about making sure anyone is happy. She treats the cleaning people poorly. I'm not sure why she was hired. Another issue has been with the move-out date. MAKE SURE when you sign your contract that you CHECK THE DATES FOR WHEN THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT. We are homeless for 2 weeks while we had to pay for the whole month's rent. Now, sure, its our fault for not noticing in the contract BUT SERIOUSLY WHO KICKS A STUDENT OUT when BC and EVERY OTHER COMPLEX for that matter isn't having move-ins until the 25th!!!! So again: I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. PLEASE STEER CLEAR. You're doing yourself a favor. ...

This apartment was interesting. There were 3 people per room and the rooms were "larger" than normal. Meaning, it effectively could have handled two people and instead were cramming 3. There was hardly any closet space. Since there were no dressers, you had to use the closet and it didn't fit. I'm a guy and I don't have THAT many clothes... The desk was awful. They assume that for 3 college students, one small church-sized table can fit 3 computers and any study space. In the other room of my apartment, one resident had his desktop and that took up most of the table. The internet was rather poor. You had to provide your own router which was a waste since they have no upgraded to Google Fiber. They didn't have it finished when I left for the summer but it was almost done. The ward was the hardest part. The ward is your building. The guy/girl ratio was not 1:1 like they advertise (a big selling point) and was no where near it. On the ward records it was 8:1 guy/girl. Don't get me wrong, the people are very nice but a little more on the "out-cast" side of Provo/BYU. Parking was great. There was always tons of spots and it's free. There's an above ground ramp and underground that always have rooms (one car sat with popped tires the entire year underground and there was no worries)as well as on the street there's always room. That's probably the nicest part about these apartments. The management was friendly but seemed generally oblivious to the charges they were posting. The bills they sent were very confusing to read and included the previous month's charges applied to a credit from the month before and added utilities for the current month. I (a physics/finance major) struggled to differentiate and it led to monthly asking the manager why I was being charged for things. Honestly, it never was more than $285 a month total so it wasn't a big deal but I prefer honesty and transperancy inside of a contract. I feel that for a shared room for F/W for what you get, the price should have been around $200 flat per person. That means each apartment would have netted $1,200 a month which is far more than what these are worth and cost to run. Just my opinion based on Supply/Demand. I would not return unless necessary. I feel there has to be better options for the money. If you're a minority or a female looking to find a guy, this is the place for you. If you are looking to meet a girl, stay far away... (I rented F/W 2013-2014 but this site isn't allowing me to put that) I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

Look, I've lived in a lot of places near BYU. I've lived in some cheap and trashy apartments. While the price here is low, the reality is you can get a lot nicer places in the same range. The rooms are tiny (I called mine the "Harry Potter Room" because it was basically a closet under the stairs) and the building is in general disrepair. Management did a really poor job of taking care of problems. We spent 2 months with no carpet after something in another apartment sprung a leak and soaked our walls and floors; it smelled like mildew, and that certainly hurt both our feelings and our social life. And on two separate occasions, we were charged for a cleaning company to come through to patch up our cleaning checks. The cleaners never came, but they still tried to charge us for it. Pretty classic example of money-grabbing landlords! I rented from winter '09 through spring 10. ...

I lived here from fall 2010 to spring 2013. I liked living there most years as the ward gets pretty close throughout the semester and it is a lot of fun. However, you can find great wards anywhere you live and the Landlord (Brian) is not worth it. He treats tenants like crap, charges money for anything and everything he can. No matter how good of a tenant you are, you will get almost none of your deposit back. Also you'll get charged for carpet cleaning that doesn't get done, random maintenance difficulties he will blame on you, and pray he never catches you climbing through a window because you got locked out. Almost everyone who lives there has complaints about Brian trying to rob you blind. So be warned. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...
