I (35, male) am a professor at UPenn and looking for someone to sublet my apartment while I am on a research trip in Europe in May. The lease start would preferably be around May 2nd and ends around May 27th.


About the building: this is unquestionably the best apartment building in Philadelphia ("The Dalian", look up the ratings and pictures on Google Maps). It has absolutely everything: a gym, a pool, BBQ spots, shuffleboards, pool tables... you name it, this building has it. It's only minutes away from the famous art museum (Rocky steps) and the pool is *literally* on top of the roof of Whole Foods! You simply take the elevator down and go food shopping - it could not possibly be more convenient. Right around the corner, there is also a Wawa, CVS, and much more.


About the apartment: I have an extremely spacious apartment and I live here by myself. On about 1,400 square feet, I have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 walk-in closets, a Den, a patio, and a washer/dryer in the unit. The unit comes fully furnished.


As you can imagine, given the premium quality of the building, the rent is premium as well: I pay about $4,200 per month. This is not what I would expect you to pay because my private bedroom and private bathroom would not be part of the sublet agreement (e.g., if multiple people were to move in). I did not put in a price but am instead open to you suggesting what rent you would feel comfortable with given everything. I'm hopeful that we can come to an agreement that is mutually beneficial.
