Highland historic charges insane prices for UNRENOVATED, gross and falling apart “historic” buildings. This building has a decent location but don’t expect to feel safe, especially not in the sorry excuse of a parking lot out back. Roaches live in the drains and will come out at night. Don’t expect your electric bill to be any less than $200 during the summer months, which makes this place no longer “affordable.” Oh, and if your AC unit leaks, it will somehow always be your fault. I would only recommend living here if it’s for a very short term. You can find bigger properties in Birmingham for significantly less. Steer clear. ...

Thought this place was great, but quickly it turned to summer and my unit was 82° for weeks and maintenance kept saying they didn’t know what was wrong with it. Found roaches in the sinks, gnats constantly around, poor insulation, small bathrooms. If you’re looking for cheap living, this is the place. But you get what you pay for. ...

Manager has been very good. Apartment is quiet and has great security system. Internet access included as well as water. Kitchen comes with dishwasher, microwave and recently updated with new cabinets and newer refrigerator and ice maker. Roof top deck looking over the city and a onsite laundry, workout room, security guard and parking. Seems great so far. Very clean and nice when I moved in and like I said the manager was very nice. He gave me his number to call at any time with any problems. ...

Dont rent here new manager is scum, he is not a good person to deal with. We miss our old Land Lord, she was nice and down to earth. He will go behind your back and get you in one way or another
