Unit 1: I've been living here for just over 6 months and am being let out of my lease early without penalty by the landlord because she'd rather let me out of it than fix all the problems the unit has. The price is too high for the quality of the
apartment. She asked me to find a replacement but I told her lying to potential tenants in order to โsellโ the unit wouldnโt sit right on my conscience; so sheโs doing it herself. Thereโs a huge moisture issue throughout the unit and itโs become a mildew breading ground. The extremely old washer and dryer unit that the landlord uses as a selling point probably works 30% of the time until she sends her handyman to do quick, cheap, temporary fixes. When I first moved in, I had to ask her to install a fire alarm! Thatโs building code lady! Iโm sure sheโs violating many codes but since Iโm not a contractor, I canโt be sure. The lady next door owns like 15 cats and is essentially a hoarder (just take a look at the backyard). Ants come from her apartment to mine in order to die. Itโs been a miserable 6 months and I pity all future tenants.
