For the price, it's not a bad deal -- but it's not a good deal either! A few things you should know: 1. The neighborhood looks awful. You'll see stranded shopping carts on the sidewalks; dumped furniture abounds; and the foliage is not groomed. 2. The neighbors are loud and the house has very poor sound insulation. Expect to wake up once a night by someone's car alarm. 3. The "handy man" is an old dude, about 70ish, who doesn't quite speak English, and carries a tool set from the fifties. 4. Expect to get gipped on the deposit. We lost $50 because there were "weeds in the backyard." Are you kidding me? In Davis weed grows on the freeways! On a positive note, it's close to campus and the roof doesn't leak. ...
