The area surrounding Clemens Place Apartments is very nice, being within walking distance of several special parts of West Hartford (The Mark Twain House and Museum and Elizabeth Park, for example). There are also a wide variety of shops and restaurants
close nearby. My studio apartment is the perfect size for me, and I find it very convenient and relatively affordable. My one complaint is with the outside of the building. There is often trash outside of the building and the mail system is not the greatest (packages are sometimes left outside or in the mailroom instead of at your door).

Don't be fooled. Heating is advertized as "free" but they usually keep it between 55 and 60 degrees. I wake up freezing during the night. Water is also advertized as "free" but its usually cold water.
Other problems:
-VERY expensive!!
-lots of
loud sirens (though not the fault of Clemens Place)
-Water comes from roof and they do nothing to fix it and do not care about your complaints
-They advertize a gym. Don't choose this apartment for that reason. Gym has a lot of out of date and poorly maintained equipment (in my opinion).
