I’ve never been inside one of these apartments But The “”WHITE BOY”” who sits in the SUPPOSE TO BE GUARD STATION IS GONNA BE FIRED AND IM PRESSING CHARGES ON HIM FOR MAKING A “” H A D I C A P P E D. W O M A N S T A N D OUT IN THE OTHER SIDE OF THE OUTSIDE GATE BECAUSE I HAD NOT BROUGHT MY I. D./ Driver License after my husband DELIVERS OH MY LIKE 20 times a week or more!! I’m Disabled I don’t drive Untill surgeries!!!! AND THE OTHER GUARDS DO NOT NOT FO THIS!! He sits and has cars lbacked into The Highway On THARPE STREET!! TAKE AN I.D. And SCAN AND GO FORTH HE IS SITTING THERE LIKE HE DOES IS A COP AND THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR IS VERY SCARY AND ILLEGAL AND INAPPROPRIATE!!! IVE CALLED EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PHOBE LINE NO ANSWER!! They only try to help you when you’re signing a lease. They don’t give 24 hours notice when entering apartments EVER. And they have a bunch of hidden fees like a move out fee which there isn’t stated to be possible anywhere in the lease or legal documents. If I could rate it I’d rate it a negative 5 ...

Apartments are big and roomy but the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The pool and basketball courts are nice too. Rent cost is definitely a plus. Just don't go to the neighborhood store past midnight.

Although the walls are thin and parking spaces are small, Seminole Grand is a fine place to live. There has been few minor maintenance problems I've had but nothing too serious that they didn't fix right away. Other than that I live peacefully there.

My experience with Seminole Grand I would say that it has its up and downs. When I first moved in it was horrible. My room was a mess and my apartment smelled like mold. It took them a week to find me a better apartment. The one that they had found for me it’s a lot better. It has some problems sometimes but I rather live in the one that I am at then the one that I was placed in when I moved in. ...

While Seminole Grand residents are quiet, noise from the facility was definitely a bother. I stayed near the front of the complex, so I could hear every time the gate was opened or closed, which was a bit inconvenient, but not a problem that most people have. However, a common noise problem was the lawn mower, as the weekly lawn maintenance people started working on the grass pretty early in the morning, which makes it hard to sleep in. There is a security guard at the front of the complex 24/7 checking people's ID's, which prevented people from entering the complex freely, making me feel safe. Overall, a fine experience. ...

My experience at Seminole Grand has been okay at best. There has been a roach and mold problem since I have moved in and I have continuously tried to get it fixed and it has not happened. There has also been a shooting in my apartment complex.

When I came for a tour of this complex, it was nothing short from amazing. When I moved into my apartment, it looked nothing like I was shown on my tour. Not worth what I'm paying at all, bugs, dirty floors, walls, and ceilings. My move in day, I could tell no one had cleaned my room prior to me arriving due to there still being items in my room from the last tenant left behind. I do not reccommend this apartment complex. From my bedroom window I can always hear peopoles loud card, and people running into the curb and popping their tires. My window is also fogged up and smugged to where I can not see out of it. ...

Filthy. Dirty. Lying. Scamming. Greedy. Only a few words to describe the lovely Seminole Grand. My brother and I are planning on moving into a 2×2; I move in in August, my brother moved in in May. Because of the urgency of my brother needing to move in, we were unable to get a tour scheduled with SG. When talking to us about the apartment we would be moving into, we were told about updated appliances, granite countertops, updated flooring, brand new furniture. When requesting a location, we requested near the office, and on the third floor. They smiled and nodded and said okay. My brother moves into the apartment, and interestingly, we're on the 1st floor in an area of Seminole Grand known as "the hood," known for quick drugs deals and crime. The apartment itself was absolutely disgusting. Damp, moldy, roaches, smelled like damp stale cigarettes and weed. The appliances are all extremely old and outdated, the furniture is dilapidated and ripped and worn, the plastic counters are cracked and stained, the microwave is dirty and missing the turntable, the floor is sticky. The "updated" flooring that is being paid EXTRA for is half tile, half cheap dark greasy "wood" flooring, with the thick, bulky floor median being completely broken, and nails sticking through (they tried to tell me that ALL the apartments have the ugly half tile-half wood floor, which is a LIE considering I currently live in another building at Seminole Grand and have a full-tile livingroom/kitchen, no extra charge). Did I mention all of the MOLD and the ROACHES? Disgusting. When talking with the office, the only help they truly offer is to blame it on you; it's YOUR fault they placed you on the wrong floor in a disgusting apartment. If you wanted a clean, livable apartment, you should have paid extra. They actually told us we should have paid extra for decent furniture and appliances?? Abhorrent. Be careful trusting the five star reviews; they bribe brand new residents with giftcards and rent credit for leaving positive reviews. I rented from fall 2017 through winter 2020. ...

Beware of these people, from sales reps to "community managers". They take advantage of young, inexperienced college kids. My son was told one rent rate and was given another rate at time of the lease, raised the rent the same day! When I called they said my son hand signed the lease with the higher rent and they would not change the amount, even after speaking to the sales rep THAT SAME DAY and offered the lower rent, both to my son and myself. The sales rep responded "the prices went up". They are also charging a full months rent for August while you only take possession and lease starts on the 22nd day of the month.... FULL MONTH'S RENT FOR 10 DAYS!!!! SCAMMERS!! At the end of the lease you also pay a full month for 22 days of occupancy in July... Have they ever heard of prorated to days of occupancy? This would never happen if someone with experience read the lease before signing it. Sales rep: Mr McCroy Community Manager: Mr. Franklin *** They are scammers... Please be careful in dealing with The Collier Companies, do not let your kids sign anything with them without an experienced adult looking over the lease. Very unethical in their practices. Should have a rating of zero. I would honestly give Seminole Grand a big fat zero. By far the worst place on this planet we call earth.. Filthy nasty dirty place. Tatiana should be fired, some so called manager. Manage my ass! Traci should be the next to be fired, managed not to return any calls from me, poor excuse of a community manager! Welcome to the Grand life. Here at Seminole Grand, they have done minor renovations in which they are drastically increasing the rent by $150. Is it worth it....NO! The dryer will completely dry your clothes by the third round. Roommate matching is a joke. They really do not honor your request if you are not already moving in with the people you know. Parking is scant, especially for visitors. The walls are paper thin and management has changed every year. The model looks amazing. But remember, NO ONE ACTUALLY LIVES IN THERE! Also, here at the grand life, if you just so happen to forget your key after hours, you have to pay $25 for a lockout key to get into your own home. How lovely is that. Also look up Jefferson Pointe and Village on Tharpe for other ratings. I rented from fall '05 through summer 11. ...

I've taken a sublease from someone at the Seminole Grand because I'm working in Tallahassee for the next couple of months. The pool and acceptable accommodations lured me in to this trap. I have never experienced a more shady and dishonest business in my life. I've lived in many places across the U.S and Canada and have never experienced the lack of professionalism in the staff or dishonesty in the dealing with their customers. Before I signed the lease I went to the office to check if the current resident had any outstanding debts, which he did. I got the kid to pay off the hydro bill and thought that was done. Then comes the time to sign the lease. Surprise! you have to pay a $300 lease transfer fee. I went to the bank and got the check. When I arrive, surprise, do I have the $50 background check fee? I get $50. Lease signed and I move in. There's an alarm outside my door incessantly beeping because there is a break in the connection. All day and night it beeps. I ask the office to fix the alarm. A week goes by and I wait. I return to the office to complain about the beeping once more. They say they will fix it. Another week goes by and I return to the office, this time my drain is clogged as well and I need it fixed. She says the beeping will be fixed and the drain will be cleared the next day. The following week the beeping continues, the drain is clogged (I'm brushing my teeth in the kitchen sink) and suddenly my car disappears in the parking lot. I go to the office and tell them my car is gone. They say, "do you have a parking permit?" "No I don't because you never informed me of the existence of a parking permit." "The previous tenant should have given you one." "No you should have given me one." "well when you sublease the responsibility is on the renter." "It is the responsibility of the management to inform the renter of all the rules and requirements of the tenancy." After half an hour of debate they agreed to give me a parking permit and promptly bring back my car. At the end of the week the beeping continues and my drain is still clogged so I make my weekly visit. They say they can't do anything about the beeping because the break in the line is hidden but they will get the clog fixed. Two days pass and drain is clear but the beeping continues. Two days ago I receive a hydro bill on my door for $127 for one month of electricity during a billing period 8 days before my move in. I schedule an appointment with the manager, Denise Norris, who proceeds to tell me that I am obligated to pay this utility bill because when I signed the sublease agreement I take on all debts of the previous tenants. I explain to her that I came into the office specifically to take care of those debts and they informed me everything was clear, which was a lie. I explain to her that this is theft. She says there is nothing she will do. I ask to talk to someone who runs the building, the top of the ladder, which was my first request when I scheduled an appointment with Denise, who turns out not to be the top. First available date is Monday. I then ask for the phone number to the parent company that owns the Seminole Grand. She refuses to give it to me. I ask again for the phone number to Paradigm Properties. Again she refuses. Now I am waiting for a meeting with Shakeua to talk about this bill and my other problems with my short residency. Never rent with the Seminole Grand, they are very eager to take your money but do not care at all for the customer. The office staff is full of children who have obviously never worked in a professional environment in their lives. They will never put a work order in the first time. I was once in the office waiting for them to put in the work order for my drain and one of the leasing agents came over to ask the receptionist for good selling points on the complex because she had trouble coming up with more than one. What was her one selling point? "we have a pool." This pool as I've seen for the past week and a half has a layer of sand at the bottom and a layer of dead insects of every variety floating on the top. You can liken swimming in the pool to an oil tanker breaking through ice in arctic waters. Let's review, THEIR OWN LEASING AGENT could not come up with more than one selling point on the SEMINOLE GRAND. good luck with this place. As a person who's lived in Canada and Los Angeles I can say this place has ruined my perception of the city of Tallahassee forever. I rented from spring 10 through summer 10. ...
