This is hands down the worst place to live in Tallahassee. My friends and I combined have 7 apartments in the complex and we are all moving out. Best tip I can give is DONT MOVE IN HERE. Prices may look cheap but beware you will not receive services. Internet slow, management terrible, tow away visitor spots and management doesn't care, don't listen to requests and don't provide help. Apply wrong rate and charge hidden fees. Terrible place to live will not be renewing, moving out mid-year. I rented from Fall 2013-fall 2014, worst decision. ...

i absolutely hate living here. My roomates and I have had the worst experience moving in here! Mold in the apartment, filthy carpets and bathrooms with cockroaches everywhere. Beware! Do not move in here.

Unprofessional Management and unethical practices! BEWARE!As a parent of an FSU student who is so unhappy living at Venetian, I need to let you all know what to expect at this apartment. Our daughter’s first year at Venetian (2010) we/she had no problems, except for moving into a completely filthy apartment. Nothing had been cleaned – bathtubs were black, refrigerator with old, rotting food. It was awful! The second year, the apartment was cleaned and updated – new counter tops and carpet – GREAT, except that when signing the contract for 2011 they advised her/us that there was no change to the contract…so our daughter signed it. A month after move-in she and her roommates get an additional bill for $200 – so called utilities that were included the year before, are now the resident’s responsibility! There also is no proof that they incurred these charges either, and their utility bill from the APARTMENT was low compared to other people’s units in the same apartment complex! Now, after being a good resident for 2 years, she has to move to another unit since all her roommates are graduating. We called the office and they set her up with some of her friends in the same building. A week later she is advised that in order to move to the room she has to pay a $250 ROOM CHANGE FEE in addition to paying $50 more a month in rent. The manager said they have the right to do this to her and to live with it or don’t renew the lease. Totally rude, unprofessional management is all I can say. How they can give you a signed contract, then come back and say it doesn’t mean anything – it is amazing that they have residents still living there! I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

I really loved Venetian until it came to signing season. They would throw pool parties that would be EXTREMELY loud on school nights. These pool parties would mostly be people that were signing the next year so the participants had no qualms for being loud, belligerent and leaving trash everywhere. Venetian showed that they were more concerned with POSSIBLE future tenets than actual tenets. On various occasions, Venetian also left the music, played through the clubhouse, on the entire night. It is a great location being close to FSU, but it isn't worth the money. It also irked me greatly that the model is nothing like an actual room. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

Love this place! Friendly maintenence and office staff! Office already had free ice cream for us and i always have fun at the pool! I rented from fall '09 through fall '09.

I have lived here for 4 months and have honestly not had a single problem. Two of my roommates have lived here for 2 1/2 years and have not had a SINGLE problem either. My apartment was perfectly clean, freshly painted, brand new furniture, and everything worked perfectly. One of my roommates broke her ceiling fan and the maintenance man came within 2 hours of her request. Another one of my roommates had a smudge on her bathroom mirror and didn't like it and maintenance replaced it with 24 hours of her request without any questions. All of the residents are really friendly here too. There is PLENTY of parking, I have no idea what the previous people were talking about. There is never any trash on the premises and the pool is always clean. I live on the 1st floor and I hardly EVER hear the people above me because of the structure of the building. We also have not had a SINGLE bug, not even a tiny roach or anything. A $580 utiity bill? Obviously the people that reviewed Venetian Villas before me failed to realize that it was probably THEIR fault it was that high. Ours has NEVER gone over $50 a person. I have lived in places like Boardwalk and Seminole Suites and have absolutely hated it but I honestly cannot find a single complaint about Venetian Villas so realize that most people who come to these sites just like to rant and rave about things. Don't ever live here! Everything that could have possibly gone wrong when renting, happened here. They messed up my paperwork from the beginning and I couldnt move in until 1 week after my lease started. They still failed to make the apartment livable even after I moved in. There was a live snake under our couch, bugs and spiders everywhere, and it was incredibly disgusting. The manager is rude and not fit for the job in my opinion. Every month, something has happened, including a strange guy trying to come in through the back door, homeless people walking around the parking lots, flooding inside bedrooms from the rain, and random fire alarms going off at night. The management handles everything poorly, and doesn't really care if your maintenance requests get done in a timely manner. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

This is the worst place to live. I beg you to never live here. Among many other things, I woke up one morning to the maintenance person eating our halloween candy in the living room. I rented from fall '07 through spring '08.

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. I left my apartment in the summer for only 2 weeks to go home and came back to find my room a mess and stolen things. THey had confirmed to me that there crew was in there becasue i had a roommate moving in. There maintenance crew went into my room without my knowledge. They lied to me and there property manager treated me very rudely. They were shady about the whole situation when it was obvious that only someone with a key was in there. The manager said I had no proof of anything and was the lease bit helpful! I rented from summer '06 through summer '07. ...
