Management and maintenance are really good, I have never had any negative experiences with either. However, when I first moved in the conditions of my room were subpar. My carpet was dirty and I had holes in my walls. They fixed the holes the following day but I had to clean the carpet myself. Also, residents (including mine) packages are being stolen daily, someone broke our gate, peoples cars are being broken into and utilities are pricer than most apartments. This past year we've been able to hear my shootings and sometimes SWAT. A couple of peoples car windows were shattered due to bullets flying in them. Sometimes our power and wifi goes out randomly. We were one of the last few communities to receive power after hurricane Michael two years ago in the fall. However, I will say that there are quite a few positives. The room sizes are great as well as the bathrooms! I love the amount of space that I have for the amount of rent I am paying. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood except for the occasional loud music but thats not often. All in all I would love to stay but it seems like security is non-existent. If security were tightened, back-up generators installed, and more cameras put up this place would be top notch. ...

San Michele is horrible! Upon moving in, I too like many other residents fell in love with the outside. But, when I moved in it was the complete opposite! First of all, their roommate matching is horrible. They put me with two roommates who were the complete opposite of me. They were loud, and disgusting, and very inconsiderate. Second of all, they promised that we would have a pool and a clubhouse shortly after I moved in...that was Fall 08...it's now Summer 10 and nothing! Also, the management staff is no help what so ever! They recently got a new manager and she sucks at her job! She's quick to issue an eviction notice even if your rent is just an hour late! While the appliances are newer, they barely work. The refrigerator is always leaking puddles onto the kitchen floor. And the paint chips off the wall so easily. There are at least 2 break-ins a month and they don't do anything about them. They're supposed to have pest control, but our unit constantly has problems with all kinds of bugs. Please take my word for it and don't move here. Don't let the outside and the model they will show you, fool you. They are way overpriced...all they want to do is take your money! Overall, San Michele is a joke! I rented from fall '08 through summer 10. ...

I can honestly say that I cannot wait for my lease to be up at Villa San Michele. I am like a lot of the other residents who moved here. I fell in love with it at first site and ended my search after being sold on the beach front pool and state of the art club house. That was in 2008. Its now May 2010 there is still no pool, no clubhouse and I am still paying $550 a month for. My neighbor has a dog that barks all the time and I thought they weren't pet friendly. I asked and she said she brought a doctor's note. Really? This place is only about taking people's money and they could care less about the well-being and happiness of its residents. I have been a loyal resident since 2008 and I have patiently waited for the arrival of the pool, dealt with federal agents making arrests at my neighbors, loud parties, no parking, horrible roommates, and break-in after break-in of apartments all over the complex. I was told the security officer was going to be working more hours but he doesn't even come anymore. I would seriously recommend that anyone looking for an apartment ask VSM a lot of questions and really be careful with your decisions. I rented from summer '08 through spring 10. ...

These townhomes are fantastic. The apartments are super fancy (when compared to other student housing) and all of the appliances are like new. I was living in a different apartment across town and kept having problems with managers/maintenance so I decided to move. I am so glad I moved here. The difference is like night and day. Love it! ...
