After 3 other apartment experiences, I found Camden Renaissance below average while living there. Management had to be constantly reminded to get work orders submitted and safety was a major concern. The true shock however, came a month after turning in
my keys when I was accused of leaving apartment damage of which they claimed to have photo evidence that they could never produce for me. I left the apartment in better condition than when I moved in because I patched pet damage (noted on my move in inspection) on the base boards. I had cleared and cleaned the apartment but they stuck me with a $230 general cleaning and $754 carpet replacement fee. As I hadn't expected to be victimized in this way, I had no evidence to dispute this charge in the 15 days they were giving me before taking it to a collection agency and I was out an additional $1000.
I rented from spring '06 through spring '07.
