Pros: It is a newer building in good condition with a respectable amount of parking space. Cons: Most of the digs on this complex do not have to do with the building itself, but rather the management. Keenland Village is operated by a company known as Northern Management. I'll start with the parking lot. Throughout winter, KV posts signs regarding plow dates. There were instances where signs were either not posted the evening before or taken down that evening. I left and re-entered the building well before and then after 10 o'clock P.M. and the sign was not posted. The result was that Northern Management towed several vehicles at the cost of the owners. When the buildings management was approached about the "sign issue," they claimed to have checked the evening before. As I left the building well before 10 P.M. and re-entered well after, I knew this to be false. The result was cold disregard from Northern Management and a number of frustrated tenants. I contacted Northern Management on several occasions requesting to be contacted. They did not contact me. The one time we did get ahold of a Northern Management staff the person was rude and short tempered. Lastly, Northern Management was stingy with deposits. Regardless of one's neatness, any sign that someone had lived in the building resulted in the agency keeping more money. I have never heard of an apartment complex being so stingy with giving back deposits. My wife maintained and cleaned the apartment vigorously throughout our time living there, and yet we felt cheated in the end. After a year and a half of paying rent payments on time, this was our repayment. My last complaint is from some acquaintances who lived in the building. The acquaintance always paid their rent on time. One day they received an eviction notice in the mail. They called Northern Management who were again unhelpful and rude. The management agency blamed this acquaintance for not paying the rent. A few days later, the management discovered they had misplaced the rent check. There was little remorse from the agency. My advice, don't rent here. You can do better. I rented from fall '07 through fall '08. ...
