So the manager was pocketing people's rent money so I suggest you KEEP ALL of your receipts, or just pay by check...it's easier to track that way anyway. But for those who get money orders or pay cash, get that receipt. Also, when I moved in there were
multiple things broken that NEVER EVER got fixed. AND, they said that there was "new" carpet when I moved in but it seemed to me that they just lifted the old carpet and laid down the new carpet without even cleaning the ground before. So, because the previous tenant had a dog, there was dog hair around the entire perimeter of the apartment. It was disgusting, to say the least and always, i mean ALWAYS smelled like wet dog in my apartment. I mean it smelled like that the entire time I stayed there and I am extremely clean. I could never get rid of the smell because the dog ish smell was never properly eliminated. YUCK. Then at the end of my lease...can you believe they actually tried to charge me for damages that were already done to the premesis before I moved in??? WOW! That's all that needs to be said. Oh, and don't worry about recording the damages before you move in. It, apparently, doesn't make a difference...
