This company is horrible. The house was so dirty after move in. Carpets were not shampooed at all. There was mold in all of the bathrooms. They also did construction on the other half of the duplex and didn’t give us any warning, and they didn’t seal off our side of the unit so everything was covered in dust. We couldn’t stay here during the day either due to the noise. There were also several instances when a construction worker came into our half of the unit without warning. I do not recommend this company to anyone ...

They just look for charging you more and call it fair for others while they look for their own pocket. Also a rude accountant: with a ridiculously high security deposit, They were withholding my old security deposit and were requesting a last month worth of rent and another security deposit which was a few grands without releasing my security deposit. The accountant was not willing to work it thru preventing me to move unless I pay the last month rent and was treating rude. Besides, They didn't paint my unit even thought the wall had leaking and inflation. They only clean the building when they have a visiting week to show their units... other than that they leave it as is. I rented from fall 2018 through summer 2019. ...

Do NOT rent from Buckeye Real Estate. They will do ANYTHING possible to screw over students and have many ways of doing so. They are careless, irresponsible, rude and try their hardest to take advantage of young students who typically aren't aware of what a good landlord is. They refused to fix our leaking and moldy basement for a full year, and when they realized it was a big issue to fix they tried to evict my whole house. Prior to renting through Buckeye Real Estate, I rented through Northsteppe which was entirely night and day in comparison. They were friendly, nice, helpful, and when something was wrong they accommodated us. Buckeye real estate was willing to let my whole house live with a moldy basement until I got Ohio State's Student Legal Service involved. This is a company of professional scammers. RENTER BEWARE!!!! They are horrible to rent from. If you get a security deposit back after you move out make sure you pick the check up from the office. Do not let them mail it because if you don't receive it in the mail they charge you to have a new one printed. Their customer service his horrific!!!! If I were you I would never rent from them.
