When I first moved in, the people in the office were nice and sweet and there was always baked goods available for residents. The area was clean and nice and well kept, well lit and the children had many places and equipment to play on. Over just one year, the management changed and with the change the neighborhood went down, vandalism increased, there were broken lights and broken glass everywhere. The staff completely changed including all maintenance men and everytime a maintenance request was placed, a new person came out. The lights in the breezeway are always burning out and if they are working, the light fixtures are so filled with bugs that it makes the light pointless. The sand volleyball court has very little sand in it and no net, and one of the two swings for the kids is broken. And the kicker. The concrete and metal staircase of my building broke this summer (june 08) and wasn't fixed until September 08. This was only one of three staircases that were broken and eventually fixed, leaving all of the remaining debilitating staircases "in tact." Upon my persistence, I was told the staircase would be fixed this week, next week, in two weeks, all the way until September and except for my frequent calls there was no other form of communication between the management and the community about the status of the repairs; no letter, no offer of compensation, nothing. I am so disappointed and disgusted with the apartment complex and the damage they have done to the reputation that Canal Winchester has for being a community where people are safe and can raise their children. Do not move here, you will pay too much and get too little. I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...
