The building maintenance is horrible. They do not respond to simple requests like, "Please fix my screen door." After two years and 5..yes 5... requests, it is still broken. Their emergency service is not reliable. They have a list of stipulations as to
what constitutes an 'emergency.' Apparently a shower-head falling off causing the tenant to have no shower for three days is not a problem to ARPM. Maybe they don't like to shower before work, but I do. My shower-head broke on Saturday morning. They told me they could not fix it until Monday, at the earliest. I had no shower for three days and had to go to a friend's house to shower.
When maintenance did show up, they would move things around and not put them back...like my oven. They would often fix the symptoms of the problem instead of actually fixing the issue. I often spent my own money in order to fix issues around my apartment, rather than rely on ARPM.
Parking was also a frustration. I was unable to park in my lot three times in two weeks. Again, I had to drive to a friend's house and spend the night because I could not park on the street. When I tried to talk to the people at ARPM about this issue, they ignored me. They literally would not acknowledge me standing in the office.
Based on other reviews, I am very concerned about getting my security deposit back when I move out.
Save yourself the time, frustration, and money. Go somewhere else.
I rented from fall '09 through summer 10.

Charged over $500 for "painting the outside of the house" and "fixing a dryer door." Associated Realty does not own a dryer on the property, and pictures show the outside painting was the same before and after we moved out. Furthermore, we did a
direct swap with neighbors, accepting each other's place "as is" so all security deposits should have been refunded in full. This management seems to have calculated the amount they can charge tenants before tenants speak up. Also charged $150 for accidentally being $2 below rent one month (we paid $1498 instead of $1500). Not much transparency in system. Noise was horrible. Ventiliation was horrible (up to $300 a month in electric bills for heat).
I rented from fall '05 through spring '07.
