My experience at the Exchange was nothing short of exhausting. It's a nice looking apartment complex, but from the moment we moved in we had trouble with the management being ill prepared. We moved into our apartment, and there was someone already living
in one of the rooms. When there was a leak in the wall of my apartment, it took them a month to come fix it, and then they only painted over the wall instead of redoing it. When the leak returned the next year the wall disintegrated and revealed mold that had been building from the first time they failed to replace it. When I moved out, they did not send me my deposit back (with no written reason why) until after the 30 days they have to do so was up. Then they charged us with keys not returned (while there was a written paper saying that we had) as well as charges that were ordinary wear and tear. We actually ended up going to court over the deposit (if they don't return your deposit and don't tell you why they're keeping it within 30 days of moving out, you get treble damages- your deposit x3 plus legal fees) and it was established that not only had they charged for reasonable wear and tear, but they violated the deposit policy. My advice is, if you live here, take pictures of everything when you move out, get a copy of your lease, and make sure everything is in writing and you have a copy of it!!!! It was a disaster.
I rented from fall '05 through summer '07.
