It was actually pretty chill. I didn't really have any issues, and I liked that it was further away from campus and traffic. It had a decent gym, but the key card would often not work. I liked running in the neighborhood behind the complex.

On the outside, the environment and atmosphere seemed very luxurious and therefore attractive. Upon move-in day, our apartment was not cleaned at all. There was dust and food crumbs and a rancid smell that waited for us when walking in. To make matters worse, the second and third floor in which are carpeted were infested with fleas. The staff did not seem to care and offered no means of reimbursement or anything to make up for the poor welcoming. ...

The Retreat in College Station is a safe community and is very close to campus, however, it is not worth living here due to the lack of concern from management. My apartment flooded and when I expressed my concern to The Retreat's manager, they did not come to fix the problem until a week later and mold had started to grow in the apartment. ...

The parking is my only complaint. Other than that I’ve been at the Retreat for 3 years of the 4 I’ve been in college and I’ve had a good experience overall. The amenities are very nice and the gated community makes for a safe area.

I enjoyed my time while at The Retreat. The apartments are nice and modern, and the cost is within a student's budget. I would recommend these apartments to students in the Texas A&M University-College Station area.
