Complete rip off. I moved here to complete my studies. I am in the medical field and wanted to be reasonably close to both Rice and the Med Center. I moved here for the location, but wish I hadn't. It has been a total headache. This place is way over-priced and only getting more expensive. Their latest ploy is to restrict who you can get cable from. I have been with my satellite provider for over a year with no problem, but suddenly the apt. managers are forcing me and several others in my building to get rid of our dishes, citing some silly safety risk. C'mon! What are the chances of a wind blowing someone's satellite dish off and injuring someone? We might as well be banned from hanging plants and wind chimes, too? This wouldn't irk me so badly if the cable provider (who the apt just happens to have a contract with) wasn't so much more expensive. I am also being stuck with the cancellation fees with my previous provider. Beyond this, the management here come up with all sorts of random reasons (inspections) to enter your apartment when you are not home. There is ONE trash bin that is quite a distance from most buildings and backs up frequently. It has been a hassle and a headache to live here. The staff are incredibly rude. It is a huge complex, so I guess they think that a bad review here or there won't hurt them. It is not worth it to pay so much to have to deal with so much crap. I rented from fall 10 through fall 11. ...
