We lived in the apartment for a little over one year. We originally loved the apartment complex because it was in a great location and it had a lot of character. However, shortly after we moved in things started going wrong. Every time we ran our air conditioner it smelled like something had died in the vents. This horrible smell filtered into our apartment! It smelled awful! We called management numerous times and maintenance could not fix the problem. We also had roaches in our kitchen. It was disgusting! Maintenance was called again, but we continued to have problems. Our car was also towed from our apartment. We had the sticker on the windshield, but they claimed that they could not see it. Management also had the make, model, and license plate number in the office from our application. The tow cost us over $200 dollars, and the management refused to help with our loss. When we called they said that we should call another number. We left message after message and never got a call back. Lastly, when we moved out of our apartment, we went to the office to pay our final payment and give them our forwarding address. Two months later we received a phone call from a collections agency saying that we owe $280 for carpet cleaning. We never received a phone call or a letter or ANYTHING prior to this phone call. This amount is now on our credit report. Their horrible management has now ruined our credit. If we had known we owed any money, we would have simply put a check in the mail. Do not live here!
