Literally one of the worst experiences I've had while living at an apartment complex. Yes, the rent is cheap compared to other apartments(plus it's furnished) but the management is poor and the apartment complex has hidden charges. I've had friends who've moved out of the Ridge and have been sent bills for numerous discrepancies even though the office signed off and said everything was "great" before they left. This place is terrible! When I first moved in January of 2010 it wasn't bad at all. My first apartment there was just fine but when my lease was up and I moved into a different building in August it has just been continuously downhill. Over the past three months I have had to call maintenance at least fifteen times. My stove has broken three times, we have a leaky sink, the washer and dryer broke twice, my bathtub facet literally shot off the wall and water was coming out of the wall, my bathroom floods, my doors for some reason won't shut... the list goes on. My neighbors are the most disrespectful people I have met. Blasting their music at seven in the morning, having really loud arguments outside of the apartment, tapping on our windows to scare us. I understand that this is a place for college students but they way these people act you would think they were freshmen in high school. I cannot wait to move out of this place. these apartments are terrible!!!!!!! the residents are messy and throw trash everywhere along with the people in the office who don't know anything about what they're talking about. DON'T LIVE HERE! Worst apartment of my life. My roommate didn't even have a door handle and we've had to take many cold showers because the maintenance was so backed up with requests of this crappy apartment complex. Living here was not bad at all. Apartment living is just that; apartment living! You'll encounter some problems at them all, how you handle them is what makes a difference. I will continue to live at the Ridge!

Horrible. Staff organization is horrible, but they are nice. Burn marks scratch marks (even a dog was trying to get out of the apartment). Drunk idiots blasting music honking and screaming in the middle of the night. Sometimes youre stuck with dumb roommates and neighbors that will keep you up and destroy the apt. Dog poop everywhere. They send out flyers to contact you, no email or regular mail.(they fall off or you never get them)(regards parking changes). Furniture stains(Beds are the worst) are common. Internet goes out constantly. Appliances are old (wont replace unless they are completely broken. even if they do, they will replace one with another old one that is probably even worse. Air quality is horrible. You think you are getting a good deal on the price, but its no where near worth it. One plus - its close to walmart I rented from spring 10 through spring 11. ...

HORRIBLEE!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE! WORST MAINTENANCE EVER!!! AIR CONDITION HAS BEEN OUT FOR OVER A WEEK AND THEY ASSURE ME THEY HAVE LOOKED AT IT. NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE OFFICE NOR DO THEY CARE WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING DONE. AND WHEN THEY FINALLY GET AROUND TO IT THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. BREAK INS ALL THE TIME. PLENTY OF PARKING HOWEVER VISITORS HAVE TO PARK ON THE FAR SIDE OR THEY WILL BE TOWED EVEN IF THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF EMPTY SPACES. Only move here if no other option is available. The staff are unorganized, the outside appearance is very decieving, and you definitely dont get what you are "persuaded" that you will recieve in quality etc. They do not show you where you will be staying prior to move in, nor who your roommates will be. Every weekend you will hear loud drunk college students and yet nobody does anything about it. I woke up at 4am once to a mini fridge being thrown from the 3rd floor balcony to the courtyard.. then some drunk kid came and kicked on it for about 5 minutes. The list goes on and on.. seek other options first, for your own benefit. Oh btw they used to be called the notorious Jefferson Commons apartments. Was such a bad place they had to change the name. total rip off. the price is on the lower price, but i would rather pay more than live here again. I hate everything about it. The parking is horrible, the staff is rude and only college students so they have no idea what is going on. You have to keep perstering them if you want any matinance work done at all. when i moved in, the place looked clean, but then i descovered food and trash all in between the couch cousions and any where else that you looked under was disgusting. the tanning bed doesn't work and the "work out" area is cluttered with old, non working machines, only about 3 machines actually work. This is a terrible place to love ...

This place is awful. The management staff is composed of nothing but incompetent college students who only work there so they can get free rent. On multiple occasions I've talked to someone in the office, gone back later only to find out that what I was originally told is false from another person on staff, only to have that negated by someone else. There are probably 2 people on that entire staff that knows what they are doing. It takes forever for them to respond to any maintenance requests (if they ever do), and they usually don't even fix whats actually wrong. Crickets are a big problem certain parts of the year. Sometimes people will come in for random "furniture checks" and leave the doors unlocked when they leave. While they appear nice, the craftsmanship is shoddy and nothing is very good quality. It is a "gated" community, but the gate doesn't work due to being hit by too many drunk people and having to be replaced every week. They felt it was too expensive so they just leave it open now (this was confirmed by one of the staff). They even had to change their name from Jefferson Commons to get away from a horrible reputation. Every weekend the courtyard is completely littered with trash and empty beer bottles. To top it off, the current state of Loop 288 is completely horrid. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. I rented from fall '05 through summer '07. ...
