It is so close to campus, everyone lives so close together so there are always friends around, there is plenty of space in the apartment and the living room space is big enough to have people over which we love.

Chathamtowne is great. I haven't lived here very long, but from what I can tell the complex is full of chill people of diverse ages and backgrounds. The best thing about the complex by far is the proximity to BYU campus, you can't get much better than a 3 minute walk to the Wilk! ...

I loved it here! My apartment was not in new condition, but it was kept up and nice. Mine was privately owned and everything was taken care of. I often visited friends apartments and their apartments all seemed to be in pretty nice condition. In years past they may have been run-down, but almost all the places I looked at there had been recently remodeled or had been repainted, etc. I felt like this was the best price for what I was getting because it was so nice to feel like I was in a little house instead of another cookie cutter apartment. It felt homey and there was plently of space for friends and guests. Parking was definitely tricky for visitors and one semester we had to work out another parking space so all 4 cars would fit, but overall, this was my best apartment that I have ever lived in. (4 years worth of apartment hopping). The ward was AWESOME when I was there. It really just depends. Honestly, if you don't feel social, it is probably not just because of the people next to you. Go out and visit or plan apartment dinner swaps or something. I loved both Chatham wards and recommend it to all my friends. I would have stayed but my apartment sold out before I had a chance to resign. From Fall '13-Sum '14 I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

This is the absolute worst place you could choose to live. The landlords are terrible. You will fail every cleaning check no matter how well it is done just because they want the 20 dollars they charge you for failing. They have conned many people i have talked to into paying rent over the summer when they only wanted a fall/winter contract. Honestly they just suck you out of so much money for random stuff. Trust me its not worth it. Live somewhere else. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

So, like everyone else has said the location is WONDERFUL! I walked to the wilk in four inch heels and my feet didn't even hurt. That being said - there is a sneaky extra $100 that you don't realize you have to pay in the form of getting your utilities STARTED. $75 is refundable but you still have to pay it up front. And no one bothered to tell me this. ...

The apt is nicer compared to many places in provo, in fact its pretty cute, but looking closer my apt was falling apart (ex. the bathroom sink). The ward is nice but really cliquey. I wouldn't recommend minorities living here, people would make fun of other races when everyone else was white, I noticed they picked on black people especially (ex. impersonations, saying what they were like). I have lived here for 2 years. It was great the first year, but the second year turned clique-y and not so fun. I pay the lowest rent of all the apartments, and that's $325 F/W and $225 S/S. It's a good place, but it's not very social anymore... and MY apartment is kind of run-down. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

I was in a privately rented condo and it was amazing. We had plenty of space, everything was nice, and the rent was cheap for the summer. We had two covered parking spots and one in the parking lot. There was a room at the bottom of the condo that we used as a storage area, but it could be an office. Other apartments don't look as nice as mine did, but they were still in great shape. 350 with utilities on top is an obscene amount to pay for these apartments. we have had quite a few maintenance issues that get put off by the management. they expect the apartment to be cleaner than when we moved in on every cleaning check, then still rail you for the slightest thing. parking is ok if you have no friends, but if you do, they will be walking a mile to see you because there is 0 visitor parking here. i wouldn't even pay 250 a month for these apartments. too many issues. The best thing about living here is the location. Apartments are a 15 minute walk from anywhere on campus, and you don't have to walk up a big hill or stairs. Price is decent for shared rooms, but our shared room was tiny. The apartments are nice but how well-decorated they are depends upon your roommates and their decorating budget (ours was small, and we had like one small picture on the wall.) Units are owned either by management company or privately, so you need to check beforehand... the privately owned ones are usually 50 times nicer than the managed onces. Our unit is in front on street, so lighting is good but not very social; the ward is a bit cliquey and the neighbors on either side of us are never home or cliquey themselves so it feels like we're by ourselves a whole lot of the time. I would recommend it if location is much more important to you than a super social ward. I rented from fall '07 through winter '08. ...

Chatham Towne was, sadly, not that great of a place to live. It looks promising on the outside. However, once inside, you realize that you are paying an obscene amount of money for living conditions that aren't that great. The ward was nice, if a bit older (and by a bit, I mean most were already graduated from BYU and working on their Masters), but the social life on a whole was pretty dead. The management was horrible. Multiple requests for maintenance were ignored, as well as numerous phone calls that went unanswered. When you finally did get a hold of them, the management was rude and unwilling to help. Paying 215 a month plus utilities was just ridiculous. The location was excellent, barely a block away from campus. Parking, however was horrible. There were four girls to an apartment, with two covered spaces (that were so small it felt like one) and one uncovered spot. If all four girls had cars, well then you are just out of luck. All in all, you paid way too much for an apartment that just wasn't worth it. Especially for a shared room. There was the option of a single room, but it wasn't that much bigger, and you paid a lot extra for it. I rented from spring '08 through summer '08. ...
