PROS: I am super impressed with management. Everything is always done promptly and right the first time. The ward is great and it's located in the hub of the social life of south campus BYU. I also feel that the uptake and recent renovations make for a nice living space. CONS: the parking lot is small, the wifi is so slow, the apartments are rather small for 6 people, the floors above squeak like crazy. Overall I am happy despite the cons. The apartment is nice for the price that I paid but the parking lot is pretty bad, super tight spaces. I've also come home and have had no where to park more than once. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11.

Crown is an awesome find in the sea of awful apartments in Provo! It looks like every other dumpy dirty apartment from the outside but inside has been remodeled. It has granite countertops everywhere and awesome bathrooms! The bedrooms are kind of small, but you have space for your stuff if you're good at organizing. The complex doesn't provide internet, so you have to plug in at the wall, but there is a jack at your bed and in the living room. It's kind of a bummer that it's just girls, but the ward is with Liberty Square you and can swim in their pool. Everyone should get to live here for a year! Crown is pretty nice, but it does have it's downsides. The biggest plus for me is that it's SO close to campus. The ward is also really social and awesome. It was renovated back in 2013, so the kitchen and bathrooms are extremely nice. However, the floor squeaks like crazy in certain spots. It's usually fine, but if people are getting ready or really just walking around a lot above you, you can definitely tell. The parking lot is kind of small and can be hard to navigate. The wifi is TERRIBLE. Sometimes I don't know what I'm paying for. Maintenance requests are taken care of very quickly, which I really appreciated. I paid $299 + $10 for wifi/cable + utilities for a fall/winter contract 2014-2015, but I know that they're jacking up the prices for next year. ...

This is by far the best place that I have lived in so far. The apartment is very nice and everything is new. My favorite part about living here is the ward that I have. The boys are from Liberty Square and they are the funnest and sweetest guys that I have ever met. I love them. The Crown is also way close to campus which is a huge plus for me. The apartments are close to campus, relatively low priced, and newly renovated. The guys in the ward live in Liberty Square, and most of the social life is over there and not at the Crown, but it is only across the street so it's no big deal. I loved living here! The apartments were just recently remodeled and are very nice! Erin, the landlord, is a super great person and is incredibly helpful! Overall I reallllly like living here. The only two problems are the occasional lack of parking and the wifi. The wifi here is pretty awful. You have to use an ethernet cable to get any signal and even then there isn't a good connection. Awesome apartments! Everything is brand new, so we had no problems all year. Manager is awesome and will answer any questions right away. Only two blocks from campus. Crown was just recently remodeled. We got new everything: Carpet, Appliances, Beds, Counters. It was a really nice place. It was worth the money. The ward is combined with Liberty Square. It was fun. The LandLord is awesome. manager is great to work with. Only bad thing is the parking situation. Great place and I loved living at Crown! Only plus is if you want pets. Constant water issues, you get luke warm water to shower with at best, assuming their is hot water. Sometimes the water is randomly turned off with no warning. Nothing EVER gets fixed around there, we got apology letters from the landlords but that's about it. Unless we bother them enough then we get a maintenance guy coming in our apartment randomly with no warning. I asked them about replacing something in my apartment and all I got was a sob story about how they are short on money. My question is where my rent check is going. My "renovated" apartment has rusty pipes behind the toilet and several holes in the wall in the same bathroom. I'm not sure who owns this place but the landlords seem to be nice however a guy who introduced himself as the owner asked to see my roommates' bedroom which was rather creepy. My other roommate had some strange man open the bathroom door on her, he apparently was looking at investing in the apartments. We had no warning or anything that someone was going to be looking around. Let alone opening the door on her! Some of the bottom floor apartments can have pets, which is the ONLY reason one should consider living here. Finding BYU approved housing (which it probably shouldn't be BYU approved) with pet contracts is nearly unheard of. However I would rather not live with animals in my apartment, but its nice to play with the neighbors dog/cat when I'm stressed about finals and such. ...

The location is good, two blocks south of campus, and even though the parking spaces are itty bitty there are always enough (probably because the parking lot is oddly shaped and you can make your own space). New Landlords are nice, but still don't get anything done. This place costs way too much for the quality (meaning the lack thereof). Ants, leaks, mold, old and nasty, and NO HOT WATER almost as often as there is some. For less than $200 I might not care. But for $275? Not worth it. I rented from winter 11 through fall 11. ...

Management is awful. Nothing is ever fixed in a timely manner. We lived with a leak in our bathroom that soaked the carpet in front of our bedroom for 4 months (the whole time we spent requesting repairs). The apartments smell of mold, and are filthy. Manegment is aweful. We were without heat all through November because they kept ignoring us and wouldn't come fix it. They also don't like passing people on their cleaning checks, failing them because there was a hair in the bath tub or something stupid like that. This Landlord is the worst I have ever heard of or had to deal with. make sure you get reciepts for your rent payments and the owners number, the owner is way nice but the maneger is a really dingbat. I rented from fall '06 through summer '07.
