The apartments were old and falling apart. There were so many maintenance requests that it took forever for even an emergency request to be taken care of. If we wanted something to be taken care of within a week or two, we had to put it as emergency priority, even if it wasn't. Our fridge was always going out, and instead of getting us a new one, they just scraped out some ice in the defroster, but then it would stop working a couple weeks later. The apartment got really dirty and dusty, even though we tried to clean it often. Parking was a nightmare. The management was terrible, and eventually ended up quitting, so we were without management for a week or two. Really the only positive experience I had at Alpine Flats was the other residents; it has a really good community atmosphere. Everything else was terrible, though. They charge too much for what they give you. ...

My experience at Alpine Flats has not been a very good one. There are numerous things in our apartment that very poor quality including our bathrooms and kitchen. We have had our bathroom break about 5 times and it takes maintenance about a week to come to fix it every time. Our microwave broke the first week living here and they have yet to come and fix it. Overall a bad experience. ...

Pros: Alpine Flats is close to campus, it's social (easy to get to know everyone because the apartments are close together), and management puts on fun events- always with free food! Cons: Noisy (Can hear upstairs neighbors walking around), overpriced for the quality of amenities, parking is expensive and you may not get a pass if you don't sign up quickly enough. The apartment was filthy when we first moved in, and it still had leftover food in the cabinets from previous tenants. ...
