Well, it might look good from the outside, and having a w/d in apartment might seem like a good idea. But believe me, you're in for an awful surprise when you actually move in. First off, the apartment was filthy when we arrived. People had left things, and no one had gotten rid of them. Which brings me to the landlord of this place. He was probably the worst part of this whole thing. He was dishonest and misleading when he showed us the apartment. For instance, he failed to mention that the dryer was on its last legs, and he would not replace it. (That's right, good luck with laundry!) Or the fact that the girls upstairs controlled our heat, and we would have to sleep with our windows open even with snow on the ground. (We talked to them and the landlord multiple times, but they never did anything.) He was slow to respond to many of our concerns, and a couple of times just flat out told us he wasn't going to do anything about it. This guy is a smooth talker, but don't let him fool you - the place is a craphole. For $2500/yr (completely unfurnished, by the way), you're better off renting in a complex. Seriously, this is one of the worst housing experiences I've ever had. ...
