The smaller units are more affordable on a college budget, but don't expect much. It's the bare bones kind of apartment, if that's what you're looking for, certainly no frills. The landlord was occasionally around but management was impossible to
contact. There was a good deal of noise, but as expected in a large building. You can try to get a parking spot ($50/mo) otherwise good luck with street parking (it's a nightmare sometimes.) Could be safer, better kept, and better maintained. It's in a convenient part of downtown, but that's where the good things end.
I rented from summer '07 through summer '08.
