This review is by a former tenant July 2006-March 2007 I really don't recommend this complex unless it's the last resort to live in. There are numerous malfunctioned stoves, microwaves and dishwashers (some truly garishly outdated) that took a while to replace. There are incidents of power outage and water cutoff (though often not the fault of the office because independent service contractors trip on underground power and water pipe). The upside is that 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment is quite roomy and ideal for a financially secure working person/student who can afford $800 a month. It is a gated community, however complex tend to leave the gates stay open at nights that might be problematic later in inviting crimes to occur (auto theft, etc). Complex welcomes pets but dogs must be leashed and their solid waste disposed properly. However, complex demand that pets must be at least a year old & be neutered or spayed and they charge $150 in initial pet fee. Complex is right next to US-60 highway for easy access as well as close to Arizona State University, Collins College, etc and nearby plazas. Do not bother with Flagstone Apartments because while the external appearance may seem like a frosting on the cake but eventually you will find it difficult to live in with the ongoing crimes and creepy & inconsiderate people around. Overall Flagstone Apartments is below average to reside in. Just be sure to keep your parked vehicle locked at all times. I suggest renting in an upscale, securely tight, well-lit apartment complex or condo in North Tempe and Scottsdale if you can afford it to split with reputable roommates or family. A big thumb down to Flagstone Apartments for its non-replaced hideously garish 70's style appliances in some units, stricter-than-usual pet policy, substandard unit condition and less-than-adequate maintenance that caused the flood damage (due to rooftop cooler rapture from overload or so I heard) to occur in the first place. I rented from summer '06 through spring '07. ...
