I lived in the Student Transfer Apartments at Adobe for my first year of college at UC Davis. When I first walked in, I was surprised at how ugly the flooring and furniture was (to be fair, this was furniture that the school most likely provided, not Adobe). One of my roommates commented that it reminded her of a hospital waiting room. She wasn't wrong. Besides the general ugliness of Adobe, it wasn't a horrible place to live. It was extremely quiet, which I did appreciate being a science major, but sometimes it did feel lonely. Adobe is about two miles from campus, so unless you have a car or don't mind waiting for the bus or riding your bike in the rain, this probably isn't the place for you. I will have to say, however, that the staff at Adobe are amazing. I called maintenance several times during my lease and they always arrived promptly to fix whatever I needed. Additionally, the women at the front desk were always very nice. There is a hospital across the street and ambulances that leave and return periodically with their sirens on, but its something that you get used to. ...

These apartments might be OK if you like noisy people. If not than don't even consider these. The walls and windows are so paper-thin that I can't sleep at night with all the college parties. Nothing special about these tiny room-shared units --- just mass-produced, basic quality materials at best. On a side note, If you like scamming chicks than you might like it here. Plenty of young hot college babes. Location completely sucks, miles from downtown, college, and the post office. I'm sure there has to be better apartments in Davis than these.
