I am new to this Complex. When I moved in I was given a list electricity companies I could choose from and I was prompted to get my service on asap. Less than two weeks later I received a final bill from Reliant (my choice of provider) so I called them and they told me someone from the office had changed my service to Direct Energy (another company) I went to the office and ask them to be present on the phone while Reliant repeated this to them. Initially the Manager avoided it. This was very fishy, when I insisted and got someone on the phone they all rushed to the agent to tell him that it was Reliant's fault for allowing such change. They would hold a list with what was apparently the units they had switched to Direct Energy. One of the lies that the manager would say is that this complex works only with Direct, this is not true as even the Imt parent company website gives you options and an utility cost compare tool. I think this office is trying to steal costomers from Reliant or other companies into Direct (maybe they get an under the table comission). As of now I have electric and I do not know which company I am with since I even called Direct energy and they do not want to admit an account was created on my name. During my visit I was surprise to see the management did not even apologize. They are very arrogant and I fugure they predate on people whos last name is latin sounding. I am very worry about my personal information being in the power of such people. I am already seeing a lawyer about this, but we are waiting for the investigation that Reliant opened into this matter to produce what really happened. I think this might be a practice of Imt all accross their properties in the US and their residents will be contacted to see if this is a Class Action Law suit Material.
