The Cottages was bought and is now Redpoint. The management is kinda shabby and they don't always help you out the way you need them to. They have in the past stated explicitly the day they will be performing inspections and then come a day early just for fun (which technically is illegal in some places so keep an eye out). The main office is staffed by people who live there or are students so think like 18-22 year olds, it really shows they don't know what they're doing when you ask them simple questions about your apartment or account and they just stare blankly at you and give you a scripted answer that only the manager would know something like that. It's like talking to a sheet of drywall half the time! The maintenance team is fairly prompt but they won't necessarily fix your problem the first time around. I have endless examples of putting in two or three requests for the same issue because their fix-it job keeps busting. The apartments themselves aren't really that bad for the price and the area is pretty good, but they have a habit of having randomized rent prices depending on the sun and moon alignment you happen to decide to sign a lease with them. These rent prices, whether it be increases or specials, will be knowledge that the child staff know nothing about and cannot give you future information about. During the summer if you are within range of the pool area near the clubhouse, it will be loud all the time. Blaring music, bloodcurdling screams, you name it you will hear it. There will be fights, there will be people having sex in the hot tub and the pool and the lounge chairs in the dark of night, and there will be endless amounts of cigarettes and blunts strewn all across the ground. You will probably get your car either broken into or stolen if it's nice enough because that has happened here. My roommate doesn't even have a nice car and it was busted into and robbed. A girl had her BMW stolen at 7 in the morning because a guy decided to case her apartment for it. I am moving out finally because I got tired of it. It's not the worst despite what I'm saying but it's definitely not the best. ...

Although the neighborhood is safe and the staff is nice, the condition of the apartments is not great or clean. I feel as though the maintenance team and I have a close relationship after needing their help fixing things frequently.

The cottages was fine to live at for a year but I would not do it again. The AC unit broke over and over again and after maintenance did a couple quick fixes that eventually stopped working I finally went to the manager who eventually called a third party to come fix it (it would get to 97 degrees inside in the summer). Depending on where your apartment was located it could be noisey. Apartments right by the pool will hear the most noise. The gate to enter the complex was always broken so it never actually closed meaning anyone could come in. ...
