So far, I've had a great experience. The location is very close to campus which makes it very convenient to get to classes and whatnot. The only problem I have is the many parties that residents have.

I can't complain too much because after all, I have a roof over my head and am at my dream school. However, there are a few things I think Grandmarc could be doing better. I have had a pretty good experience overall, not a bad living situation at all. The main issues I have are all solvable. First of all, from the beginning, there's been a lack of communication on their end. When we signed the lease, we were under the impression that the rent was so high because it was split between the residents of the unit. This is not the case. The rent is high AND expected from all parties of the unit. I understand we are paying for amenities and such, but the rent was never advertised as PER UNIT MEMBER, it was always understood to be for the entire unit. On this note, for such a high rent, I would expect the facility to be in pristine condition, which it is not. It's not disgusting by any means, it's quite a lovely place to be, but there are some improvements that could be made. The largest being some way to manage the smell of garbage on each floor. I am paying a nice price for this unit and every time I exit the elevator I have to explain to my friends that the smell is coming from the garbage down the hall, not my room or anything like that. It reeks all the time. The close you get to the trash shoot, the worse the smell gets which is normal, but I don't think I should have to hold my breath every time I walk to my apartment. While these are a couple of grievances I have with Grandmarc, I am satisfied with the facilities and amenities. ...
