I was excited about being able to be a resident at Wake Forest Apartments since it is really close to campus, Trader Joe's, and U-mall. However, there were fees and other applications that were not mentioned when we reserved and paid our deposit. When I
moved in it was disgusting! There was a used knife in the kitchen that I believe had cream cheese and a dead roach on the kitchen counter! There are roaches all over the apartment that seem to be coming from the bathroom. The bathroom sink had red markings and so did the living room wood floor which was strange. The toilet is so short and small looks like it is the pre-k/elementary toilet. Also, I had trouble locking and opening the front door. Maintenance did come in to put in a new front door and one closet door. Lighting is terrible, had to buy more lamps. The walls are very thin and I don't know why there is always construction and no improvement to the apartment complex. Also, my package was stolen that was left outside my front door which is very annoying. I cannot trust to have packages delivered to my door and I feel disgusted in my own apartment! I honestly think I am paying too much for the quality and not sure if the location is worth it anymore since everything is online due to covid.
