While here, we dealt with the following: Appropriately-marked car towed (twice), break-in to our "secure" storage facility, a "domestic situation" in the apartment above us that lasted months and required us to call the police, and so on. When our storage was broken into, management noticed on a Thursday, told us the following Monday, and never bothered calling the police-- we had to do that ourselves. Our upstairs neighbor apparently was beating his wife, according to an assistant manager, to the point where she left him and returned to her home country-- despite our repeated calls over several months to management, nothing was done. we eventually had to call the police. Even so, management suggested WE were the problem and that perhaps we should leave. There are constantly little children running through the halls, playing in the elevators (hitting all the buttons in each car, drawing on the walls, etc.). Most recently, our neighbors were banging so loudly upstairs that they knocked a light cover off in our laundry room, causing it to shatter all over the floor. Most residents seem incapable of using the trash chute-- they just dump garbage on the floor and let it accumulate. In short, we're paying $3,500/mo to live here (including storage and parking) and feel like huge suckers. I rented from summer '06 through summer '07. ...
