The Birchwoods hail from another era in Miami construction, and were actually one of the first apartment blocks to be built in the Fountaineblue area in the mid 60's. The insides show now wear, and the locatio is excellent , if you don't mind the
airplane noise
The community is family oriented and very friendly - a quiet relaxed atmossphere without all the b.s. of the city - there's actually a serenely asthetic field area surrounding the back of the apartments with trails and lakes - although unfortunately it's about to be turned into condos.
The complex has a very tropical looking pool - but the gym is tiny. It's actually the best overall value you can find and still tell people you live in Fountaineblue
I rented from spring '06 through summer '07.
