I lived in Danbury apt #3. I was excited to move there because of the "homey" enviornment to it. and in fact it does, you've got a big kitchen, with lots of storage space, a cute little entryway room, huge living room with the kitchen table in it and an old fireplace (inactive) there are 3 bedrooms. Me being the youngster in the place I was stuck in the smallest of the 3 bedrooms, the other two are good sizes. But the worst things were this : MY bedroom - in the summer, it gets pretty hot, and you can't do anything about it except turn on the fan. The windows don't open. There is hardly any room to walk around, hardly any way to share the closet because the beds don't fit. The other bad thing was the shower, the water in the showerhead doesn't really come out right and it takes forever and a day to figure out how to turn off the shower. Also, it has horrible drainage and takes forever to drain, leaving a nasty line across the top of the tub. (the bathroom is the most disgusting thing i've ever been in..) perhaps it was because of the girls i was living with. My social life was this: I LOVED my roomy roomy, but the other 4 girls were all seniors taking like 1 credit. They mostly just sat around watching T.V. all day and never did their dishes..it was pretty nasty. Dead flies on the ground. I also think i may have had bed bugs or something, that's another story. But that's not for sure. Overall it was a nice place, minus those things. It WAS very homey, loved the backyard! That was a definate plus. You've got coin operated washer and driers on your floor, and then in the summer you also have the option of using a clothes line. I could even throw down a bath towel and lay out if i wanted too. There's a fire pit, and a picnic table in the back. It's pretty low key and laid back atmosphere. I notice that a lot of people that live around this area are art majors. All my roomies were either Opera majors or art majors. So if that's you, this is the place for you. I liked it here, i just didn't feel as though i fit in well here with my roomates being 4 years older than me. It may be different for you though if you go there. ALSO if you plan moving here, get here early so you can claim one of the bigger rooms! that small room was a nightmare! I rented from spring '09 through spring '09. ...
