First off, I never liked the manager, Karen. She always seemed rude to me, and I didn't like to have to deal with her. The apartment complex is old, so it has it's share of problems. The windows and doors are very drafty, so cold air leaks in, and in the winter we had a thick build-up of ice around the door and window frames. The heater did not evenly warm the rooms, so there were battles over the thermostat. The water would only be warm for about 10 minutes, and would take another 40 to warm up again, so most of our showers were cold. All of that being said, the apartment feels SO much like a home. I thought so from the first time I visited, and all of my friends who came over said so. It's immediately comfortable, and doesn't feel like a school apartment. The way the complex is laid out, it feels like a secluded little village, which is nice and comfortable (not to say the people always make it feel that way). I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

If you are thinking about living in Greenbrier--think again. The conditions here are not livable. Of the 3 months I have lived here the garbage disposal has broken, the shower has leaked all over the floor, the bathroom rod fell of and is not fixable, and the heater is busted. On top of everything my wall leaks whenever it rains and we're not talking a little condensation. My bed and pillow get soaked and this could potentially be hazardous as mold can grow. The "maintenance crew" has supposedly fixed it THREE times now but to no avail. The apartments are small and old and the management is poor as the landlord is irresponsible, inexperienced, and down right rude. The only thing this place has got going for it is its close proximity to campus. Other than that, make the right choice and keep looking for housing! ...

There are many matienance problems that have occured while I have been living in Greenbrier. They don't seem to care about fixing them. Our walls are leaking, heater broken, shower rack down, fridge breaking and it takes a long time for them to fix the problems; if they ever feel like it. The landlord is a very nice lady but doesn't seem to know how to take prompt action on issues. Also, the office often opens late. It has a great location though, and great people in it with a knit-tight ward. Also, it is at a very affordable price. I rented from fall '06 through winter '07. ...

DO NOT LIVE IN APARTMENT 11. This has been rumored to be the only bad apartment.. and by bad i mean disgusting. the walls leak in a few rooms. by the time you move in it might not be so bad but i have spent this whole semester trying to get that fixed... but like i said.. it seems that the general consensus is that the only apartment that stinks is #11!!!! I rented from fall '06 through winter '07. ...
