UV wasn't bad starting out, but then Redstone bought the place and the replacement staff was totally incompetent. They were always vague about contract terms and tried to charge two of my roommates for extra months when they weren't even living there. The rent price has also gone up quite a bit, now matching places like the Cedars, which is a better location and has better amenities for the same price. The common areas at UV are always occupied and signing up for a space never works because the staff doesn't post/update the sign up sheet. The apartments do have a lot of space for storage, but the counter space is pretty limited. The TV's are also old as HECK; the brand isn't even sold anymore because they're so outdated. The couches never get cleaned in between residents, so they're smelly and heavily stained. The hallways are always dirty and the trash always overflowing. I knew a member of staff personally and they constantly complained about management wasting money on cookies for random residents rather than fixing people's broken appliances. They also said that management often speaks ill of the residents...not sure if I'd recommend. ...

For what I’m getting while living here the cost is pretty good. You get your own washer and drier and there are two fridges. The whole apartment is nice and is furnished. There are couches in the living room as well as a t.v. Highly recommend!

I was formally there when it was known as the Ivy. I enjoyed having a very spacious room for a reasonable price. Even though I had to share a room, we both had enough space to do our own thing without feeling too cramped or invading of each other's space. There are loads of great study rooms throughout the building so you feel like you can have even more of a personal experience for studying without having to travel far to campus. The managers were really nice and liked doing things for the residents once a week like giving food or parties. I loved having the free shuttle to take us to Walmart or even the other end of campus when it was freezing out and I did not have a car of my own. Overall it seems like a great place to live and I have made some life long friends there because of it! ...

There were lots of amenities I enjoyed such as the gym, shuttle, study rooms, and lounges. The bedrooms were larger than my previous apartment and had big closets and lots of storage. The management was very friendly and always available.

I love staying here. The people are awesome and management is helpful. It does get a little bit loud because people here like to party. However, the apartments are nice and they have many amenities. They have shuttles and a gym and meeting rooms. If you don't have a car or need a quiet study room, this is the place to be. ...
