I feel like these things are often pretty negative. So, let's start with the positive. I liked being close to Kroger and I like the pool. The $10 cab to Broad Ripple also rocks. I have not had working air conditioning the entire time I lived there. After complaining a lot I was told that 85 degrees was a good inside temp if it was 95 degrees outside. Crime is rampant. After calling the police on a neighbor's friend for breaking windows, one who had been at my building before threatening people with a gun, she lite a pizza box on fire in front of my door. The complex has not repaired the carpet and it has been almost a year. Remember our ice storm? The complex decided not to plow or lay down salt, so all tenants had to slide around in dangerous conditions for over a month while it melted away. The result was a number of pot holes, none of which have even been repaired. I bent a rim on my car on one. Finally, in May, I came home to discover someone, with access to my apartment, had stolen a few items. The complex refused to consider it may be their maintenance staff, instead asking me to believe that someone broke in, without leaving a sign, stole small items, but nothing too expensive and managed to lock the door on the way out. I was not compensated and no one was ever caught. The staff was unresponsive to my ask to be let out of my lease 2 months early without being penalized, due to all of my issues with the apartment. A month or so ago, the complex left a note on all tenants doors that there had been a series of break ins with no sign of forced entry. They told us to lock our doors.....as if the person stealing didn't already have keys. Oh, and my dryer didn't work for 2 years. I complained multiple times. They replaced them the week I moved out. But they replaced it with another crap dryer! I know they are under new management, but the office staff is pretty rude and very unorganized. But if you do move in, enjoy that pool! Oh, but remind your friends to bring cash. They have to pay a dollar to come to the pool. I rented from spring '08 through spring 11. ...
