Renting from Monon was a horrible experience. Not only was the 2 bedroom "Santa Fe" model townhome old, but it was poorly maintained. The staff was rude and we experienced a great deal of crime on the property. Cars were broken into on a regular basis and a lot of suspect individuals hung around because of the Monon Trail and Broad Ripple High School and the Broad Ripple bar scene. For what you pay per month, it isn't worth it. You could rent a house in a safe neighborhood for what we paid in rent. To make matters worse, they refuse to return our deposit! We have our move out sheet in hand that says the townhome was in immaculate condition and they say they suddenly have no record of us putting a deposit down. Save yourself the trouble and do not rent from Monon. You will be happy you didn't! I rented from spring '08 through spring '09. ...

Do not Rent from this apartment complex or you'll be sorry. Worst Experience renting ever. You might think that its a great location until you consider the crime. We lived there for 1 year and experience the following: 1) Our car got broken into twice. 2) A Shooting occurred on the backside of the apartments on Compton St. 3) A resident got held up at gunpoint outside the leasing office while unloading groceries. Of course the office never told us any of these things, we had to hear from our neighbors. Also, you will never be able to cool / heat your apartment correctly. We would be in shorts on one level and sweatpants on the next. Our gas bills were over $300 and our apartment was always cold. They refuse to replace the sliding glass doors and never fix anything. Courtney the office worker is a devil-tongue snake and you should never believe anything that she says. She will lie to you until the moment she sticks a knife in your back. She will smile at you until the moment you tell them your leaving and then they will try to hit you up with thousands of dollars of false damage charges. Keep track of everything and take tons of pictures. The parking lot is pitch black at night and not safe. I rented from summer '06 through summer '07. ...
