I made arrangements to rent a condo (#305) from the owner (who ran my credit, checked my background, and verified my employment), but the Board voted to deny me residency based on a blanket policy to deny anyone with a background. These blanket policies have been outlawed due to the fact that they have a disparate impact on minorities. In my case, my crimes are all non-violent and occurred more than 7 years ago.
