have lived in this apartment for 5 months now. First, there is a HUGE ROACH PROBLEM. IT'S NOT A SMALL ROACH PROBLEM. IT IS A HUGE ROACH PROBLEM. I have had my apartment sprayed over 6 times and they are still coming. I had cracks in the wall in my
bathroom and there were hundreds of roaches under my sink. All the apartment complex ever does when I call and complain is send someone else out to spray but the problem is never fixed. If you want roaches crawling on your bed furniture in the middle of the night and jumping down on your face then this is the place for you to live. And it has nothing to do with how clean you are. They have a huge roach problem in general.
Also, they restrict where you can have a satellite so that you can only have it on a tripod on your area and not common area. However, if you live on the first floor, you probably don't have a common area. So basically, they restrict tenants from having a satellite.
Furthermore, I was gone home for three weeks and when I came back, my electric and water bill was still the same. They charge you by the square footage of your apartment. So even if your water and electric is not running for weeks, you will still be charged because they divide the entire bill for the apartment complex by the square footage of your apartment. So essentially, if you have a small one bedroom, you are going to be paying for the electricity and water used in the larger apartments. Also, they use submeter one for billing and they will disconnect your electric and charge you over a hundred dollars to get it cut back on even if you are 2 or 3 days late paying your bill. The billing service is horrible.
The rent is overpriced for what you are getting. The only thing better about this apartment than my last place is that there are no lizards over here. But there are still roaches everywhere crawling around in your home. PLEASE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE IN BATON ROUGE TO LIVE IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAY A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY ANYWAY BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I WILL BE MOVING AS SOON AS MY LEASE IS UP.
I rented from fall '09 through fall '09.
