Do You like Crime? If so move here. Here are a few recent highlights from Montgomery County Police weekly crime reports. This is just a brief illustration of how unsafe Ridgewood is. FYI Postgate Terrace is the road inside Ridgewood Apartments complex. Check out the reports for yourself if you want. http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Apps/Police/crimeupdates.asp?dist=4 An attempted ARMED ROBBERY occurred on Saturday, 8/30 at 3:00 p.m. in the 4000 block of POSTGATE TERRACE in Aspen Hill. Suspect gained access into the building after he knocked on the front door. The suspect then apparently allowed two other black males into the building, and all three suspects attempted to take the adult female victim s purse. When she wouldn't let go, the suspects left the building without the purse. An attempted RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred on Wednesday, 8/13 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the 4100 block of Postgate Terrace in Silver Spring. An ARMED STREET ROBBERY occurred on the wooded path north of POSTGATE TERRACE in Silver Spring on Tuesday, 7/8 at 1:20 a.m. Three male suspects approached the adult male victim from behind; one suspect grabbed the victim around the neck and displayed a KNIFE TO HIS THROAT. The suspect removed property from the victim, and then the suspects fled the area on foot. TWO RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES occurred in the 4100 block of POSTGATE TERRACE in Aspen Hill, on Wednesday 5/7, between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Forced entry, property taken. An attempted RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 4100 blk. POSTGATE TERRACE in Silver Spring on Thurs., 4/24 between 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Do You still want to live here? The worst experience in my 12 years of renting. The apartment manager is a slimy jerk and thier lease (all 20 plus pages ) is sketching and misleading. I rented from winter '07 through winter '08.
