Four Seasons apartments is the most unprofessional and poorly run operation in Mount Pleasant. If you have a problem (no matter how serious), the owner will not speak to you until you refuse to pay him. In fact, contacting the landlord at all is a bit of a chore. The phone number printed on the apartment lease is out of service, as is the number printed on the side of the building. I got his number from a friend and that seemed to be the only way to get a hold of it. The only number to reach him at was not provided to me. However, if you do find yourself lucky enough to manage to track down this man’s number, he will never call you back. Ever. But he does respond to text messages on occasion. Actually, he requested that I only communicate to him through text when I finally got a hold of him (as I said, very unprofessional). The landlord’s inattentiveness to his clients is not the only bad thing about signing a lease with this company. My lease indicated that I would take possession of my apartment on the first of the month. When I arrived on the first, I found the entire apartment under construction. I was informed that I could not take possession of it after all (after I’d driven up there two hours). Upset, I contacted the landlord (after going through the afore-explained rigmarole) and tried to ascertain if my contract was still valid now that he had violated the first clause. After getting no clear answer, I told him I was signing somewhere else and he would get none of my money. He threatened to sue me, and informed me that there was a clause buried somewhere in the contract that still bound me to it. So, after some looking, I found what he was talking about. In the fine print, the contract stated that the landlord had fourteen days to give me possession of the apartment AFTER my move in date. And he really did take all fourteen days. So, after I paid a whole month’s rent to only have possession of my apartment for half a month, I arrived to find two windows broken. It took them six months to fix them. Additionally, the apartment lost heat for a week or so. They came in, claimed everything worked fine, then left. Later they came back and handed me a space heater (fire hazard) and told me to sleep with it on (major fire hazard). Other tenants were crazy and left the hallway doors open in winter. The parking lot was poorly cared for. I almost slipped and fell on ice every time I went to go walk to my car. The foundation wall in my apartment leaked. I had to call the police on the landlord to get it fixed – twice. I would recommend Four Seasons apartments to no one. There are plenty of other affordable options in the Mount Pleasant area. I rented from winter 11 through summer 11. ...
