Perfect place for grad students or people who are not looking for party. Staff is great and very responsive. Snowplowing is good, although the resident parking area on the Plymouth Rd side is not good. The water from the visitors parking melt, and freeze on the residents spots, which make it annoying to get off your spot (I used cat litter lots of times to be able to get out of my parking spot). Laundry is decent, but it's across the brook, which can be bad if it's raining or snowing (and of course, if it's cold, since you have to go outside, depending on which apt. you live in). These are the only two bad things about the complex. Maintenance is great, it's super quiet, the balconies/patios are awesome, the brook is charming, it's just a wonderful place to live! Heat and water are included, another great thing! I totally recommend it. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

It is a great place to live if you are not looking for party. The brook that goes by the complex is really cool, and it's a very quiet and green environment. The landlord is very responsive. It does not have any ammenities, the work out room is lame. It is right in front of the #2 bus stop, which is one of the most (if not the most) frequent bus in the city (AATA bus, no UM bus). The drawn back is that laundry is no in the buildings. So, if you live on Plymouth Rd, you'll have to cross the bridge to do laundry. The other bad thing is the parking spots of tenants. Again, in the Plymouth Rd side (where I live, the Jones Dr. side I have no info): the spots are in a lower level than the rest of the parking lot (visitors spots), so when the snow melts and then turns to ice, it's really a pain to get out of your spot, because it is so slippery. From what I've seen in other complexes, Brookside does a really good job on snowplowing. It is an almost perfect place to live for someone who is looking for JUST a place to live (quiet, in a nice area, with responsive staff). I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...
