It's loud at times and the internet is extremely slow but was a good off campus experience. It was also a good first apartment experience for anyone looking for that. It's in the same neighborhood as a lot of other apartment buildings and the location is amazing. ...

University Towers isn't even "what you pay for" (because it's cheap rent), it's less than that. I wouldn't ever recommend anyone live there. The management is not helpful at all, we would have to reach out multiple times to get issues even considered. Our apartment definitely wasn't up to code either, because our entire apartment was wired on one circuit which caused us an entire power outage in our apartment because one fuse blew. ...

The walls are thin; you can hear pretty much everything your neighbor is doing. Maintenance is quick to respond, but there was a really gross cockroach issue over winter break. There is no in-unit laundry or dishwasher, which are available other places of this price. ...

Its been eye opening. It is my first year living on my own and there have been ups and downs. The maintenance staff is always amazing but the regular staff is a bit rough. They have a hard time resolving problems with living there. I chose this place because of its close proximity to the university, which has been a life saver. My roommates are amazing, we all got really lucky. However, the apartment isn't quite working for online school. The wifi isn't that good and I can't take any tests at my house. I'm applying for this scholarship so that I can move to an apartment that will actually let me do my school work. ...

University Towers is a perfect place for college students - affordable, cozy, and close to all campus activities and amenities. It also offers great complimentary coffee and hot chocolate which is a great treat!

These people are blood sucking leeches. My mother was hospitalized and I had to leave to take care of her in an emergency. The receptionist shouted at me there is NO LEASE TRANSFER AND NO LEASE TERMINATION for UTOWERS, unless YOU ARE DEAD DEAD DEAD. Yes, please check your Lease agreement before signing. You don't want to DIE ??? I am paying them 1000 DOLLARS rent every month for Apartment 1609 even though nobody lives there. I have to still keep paying them 5000 DOLLARS for 5 more months. Nobody wants to live there even for free. You can go check for yourself if this true. Go to the second room in 1609 and live there for free. Here is the link to the lease agreement: http://u-towers.com/jcm/uploads/2015/02/2015-2016UTLEASE-INSTALLMENT-2.pdf This is an extortion scheme from innocent immigrants from India and other Asian countries. These people have to be jailed if there was justice still in United States. I rented from summer 2016 through winter 2017. ...

The office staff were always super nice to me. A lobby person called 911 for my friend once, who passed out on the floor, and the lobby chick acted like a total pro at handling the situation. Maintenance was good, they always fixed stuff a couple days after I put work orders in. I really liked Utowers and when my brother goes to U of M he will probably live there, too. Oh yeah they serve free food. Like, all the time. I rented from fall '07 through summer 11. ...

When I asked to see the apartment I would be renting, they made an appointment to see it the next day so I could see what I would be getting. When I moved in there were no surprises and maintenance has always been helpful and so was the front desk when I locked myself out at 3am. :) I rented from fall '08 through fall '09. ...

The units they show you on tour are completely unrealistic. We saw nice furniture (which is provided by them), nice carpet, nice everything, then when we move in everything is old, bathroom covered in hair, dirt, some stuff i don't even know. Consider all options before choosing this place. The maintenance is good though when the toilet flooded the apartment at 5 in the morning, they helped out and even helped move furniture. Just make sure you know exactly which unit you are getting, what kind of furniture and drapery and bathroom as well. I rented from fall '08 through summer '09. ...

Compared to all of the houses in the area, this is a good decision to live at. The house I lived in last year had no security and we almost got broke into three times! I have nothing bad to say about this building and maintenance is really fast. I rented from fall '07 through spring '08. ...

I read some bad reviews and had to let you know that I lived there for three years problem FREE. Management, Maintenance and the rest of the staff were always friendly and very helpful. My apartment was on the 16th floor and I could see the Stadium and all of Central Campus, which was pretty cool. You can't beat the location, especially if your always waking up late like I did. You will pay more for living close to Campus, but I found it to be well worth the money. BONUS...the gave me FREE breakfast every Monday morning. Your the Best University Towers!!! I rented from fall '04 through spring '07. ...

I found it to be a nice place to live and study. The rents are high, but so are the rest of the rentals around here. Tried the houses, but beleive me, you don't want to live in the houses, very scary and NOT SAFE!! I rented from fall '06 through spring '08. ...

HORRIBLE! Don't live here! The only good thing about UTowers is that it is really close to campus and the activity on South U. But the walls are so thin, the apartments tiny for a huge rent, there are bugs in the summer months, its always really hot as there is no central air, and the management staff are all really rude with only two exceptions. ...
