My granddaughter rents a studio apartment and we are very satisfied with the cleanliness and security of The Pointe at Western. Her studio apartment is very affordable and the staff are extremely accommodating.

I currently live at The Pointe at Western. I am beyond satisfied with everything they have provided for me. When I moved in, I was finishing my chemotherapy treatments and The Pointe was very accommodating. The apartments are clean and very suitable, even for those who may have compromised immune systems. I felt, and continue to feel, extremely safe and secure. If a problem is to occur, The Pointe is always quick to respond and help me solve or fix the issue. I am so thankful that I have found such a great apartment complex. The Pointe has made being a college student at WMU attainable despite my health conditions. It has also provided a great social atmosphere where I have made many friends. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. ...

These apartments are very nice and offer a lot of nice things such as the pool/hot tub and the fitness center. The furniture is nice for the most part, better than anything I would have been able to afford otherwise. However, the staff is very rude and act like you're annoying them everytime you talk to them. The new key systems that they put in are terrible and very inconvenient. I have been locked out of my apartment at 5 in the morning before because the key cards get de-activated by almost everything they touch. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

I have lived here almost a year and have had no big problems. The maintenance wasn't bad if you called during business hours but if you had an emergency problem, they will tell you its not an emergency. I came home late one night from work to find hundreds of ants in my kitchen and spreading across my carpet but it wasn't an emergency to them. Also the windows have gaps so there is an excessive bug problem in the summer months, and some of the bedrooms don't really retain heat or A/C. However, I haven't run into any problems with the landlord or staff, they have always been courteous and nice. There is also a friendly staff of security guards who will give you several warnings before calling the cops and will even let you use the pool after its closed. Parking isn't bad, except on weekends if you come home in the late evening you may have to park a little further away than planned but its nothing you can't live with. This place at first seems too good to be true, but honestly i cannot wait for my lease to be up! I am looking forward to moving more then i am for staying the rest of the year here! At first this place doesnt seem too bad, but the management here is horrible!! that is the main reason i hated this place soo much, they screw you out of your money!! Overall...VERY VERY disappointed. They will find ways to make you pay fees!! I rented from summer '06 through summer '07.
