It was not the best. The apartments flooded and it took them a long time to fix them. The fire alarms constantly went off, especially at night. People broke into apartments and they did not notify students well about the break-ins or increase security. We were far from school with a small bus as our only transportation that was often too full and you would be late to class because you would be waiting for the next one. ...

Overall is a very great experience. The area this is put in is not the best and can be scary sometimes. We have had 2 break in this year so I have so uncomfy feelings about it. Public safety does its best to keep us safe.

Chapman Grand was an amazing off-campus apartment, fully furnished with very modern appliances and decorations. While it's not in the safest place, the way the building is set up along with the parking garage made it feel much more secure. Amenities are amazing for college housing! ...

The biggest downside to living here is the ten minute drive to campus. There have also been a few incidents with crime in the surrounding area and vehicle break-ins in the parking structure. However, the rooms are really nice and I believe this is the newest building Chapman uses for housing. ...

Chapman Grand is overall a very nice place to live. It is filled with modern and useful amenities, such as dishwashers, washer/dryers, and kitchen equipment in the apartment, a gym for residents to work out in, and a well-kept outdoor pool and hot tub. It is huge and finding your apartment after you arrive takes some getting used to. It is far away from campus which you need to factor in to your schedule. There is lots of noise at night, particularly on weekends, from neighbors and those passing by your apartment. Being right on Katella Avenue, it is not the safest area and there have been some concerns with people trying to intrude the premises, but this is few and far in between and there are P Safe officers in the building. ...
