To be completely honest, the renter is paying for the location and NOT for the apartment itself because the complex hasn't been renovated in many years. The appliances are very old and inefficient, thus resulting in an expensive monthly energy bill.
Furthermore, the exterior laundry room is in poor condition and does not satisfy the needs of the complex.
The most ridiculous element of my unit is the tiny bathroom. The cracked wall and floor tiles are just the beginning - it has no electrical outlets! So forget conveniently using any electric razors, toothbrushes, or hair dryers.... And, the "window" was nothing more than movable glass slates. So imagine chilly showers in the winter time and constantly leaking cold AC air in the summer. The "window" is, however, a wonderful entrance point for burglars, insects, dirt and rainwater.
In general, the management is rude, security measures lax, parking overcrowded and maintenance response time slow.
