I have lived here for about a year and a half. If I would have known how fake the management had turned out to be, I would have never stepped in the door. The place had thin walls and even thinner floors. You can hear everything from stomping to babies
crying. If you complain the "management" will call you a "troublemaker" and threaten you with eviction and tell you you don't "BELONG" at Georgetown Apartments. The "handyman" came in my apartment to chip ice off my balcony without notice and told me he had every right to do so. This was not an emergency and had no relevance to any structural damage to the apartments. He simply didn't want to get a ladder and do it from the outside. There had been physical violence in the apartment next to mine. The apartment "manager" asked me to tell her if there were any problems in the apartment complex and when I did, she said you should have called the police... so when I did tell her, she called me a "TROUBLEMAKER!" The place is full of drama. The parking is supposed to be for tenants only but there's always abandoned vehicles or clunkers in the parking lot. The snow and ice is never cleared. This place is a dive. Don't EVER live here.
The size of the rooms and the FREE cable aren't worth the drama you have to put up with.
I rented from fall '09 through winter 11.
