I recently had a terrible experience with a landlord that I feel compelled to share. I was working with an agent who liaised between me and this landlord. After submitting my application with all the necessary documents, the agent and the landlord both approved it. We scheduled a lease signing for 10/08/2024. To accommodate this, I took a day off work, and my wife and I went to the landlord’s office for the lease signing. The agent and I had already agreed that we would move into the apartment on November 1st. However, during the lease signing, the landlord insisted we needed to move in immediately, that same day. The agent questioned whether we would receive any credit for the remaining 8 days of the month, given that this move-in was unexpected and in the middle of the month. The landlord flatly refused and was incredibly rude throughout the conversation. He became belligerent, repeatedly telling my wife and me, β€œLeave my office, you’re wasting my time.” Despite the agent’s efforts to calm him down, the landlord was completely out of control. This individual is not only rude and disrespectful, but he also lacks basic communication skills and professionalism. His treatment of us was absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise others to STAY AWAY from this landlord. No one deserves to be treated with such disdain. It was clear to me that he has serious issues managing his emotions and interacting with tenants. ...
